Is it confirmed that now, you cannot update other people's passbook without having surat wakil? Like last I think normally, one person in the family can just take the whole bunch of books from every member and go update in one go, now still can do that?

depends on staff & branch.

some insist on the surat wakil. some not.

went to ASNB branch to update whole family passbook.  No question asked  :D
*
Okay. But for changing to new passbook like the AS1M I think everyone need to do that themself right? Because need your signature and thumbprint on the new passbook page.

ASW , ASM & AS1M - all using same 12 digit account - already registered with CIMBCLICK  -
but only can online top up for AS1M  - (

hoping bank " Online "system will open again for ASW & ASM top up ASAP  :hehe:
*
I hope they will remove or reduce the service charge. I wonder who makes the RM1.00 money, is it split 50-50 between bank and ASNB or 100% earned by bank?

Or at very least, only charge when successfully get units. Like this is more fair. Otherwise just charged for trying kind of unfair.

Like EPF deposit online, also no bank charge I believe.

If topup say on 1st of month, and withdraw it out on 2nd of month, will there be interest for whole month? Hmm

No interest. Cause the calculation is based on the lowest amount in your account.
*
Okay. So interest is calculated monthly basis right, just that it will only be distributed for all 12 months (summed up) once a year?

So if I topup eg. RM 2000 on 1st of May and take it out on 1st of June, I will have interest for one month for that RM 2000 which will be added up into the yearly dividend?

Basic savings account. A account which all banks in malaysia will offer for free. Downside is limited atm withdrawal but no problem with over the counter transactions.
*
OTC limit imposed on ASNB as well? I think not right? I can just go CIMB without having account with them and do ASNB.

If bank account yes (after 7 years)
If amanah saham, no.

If someone passed away and nobody claim his ASX money and he did not do any will/Pengisytiharan like you guys, it will keep accumulating year by year until "forever"? I guess, if that is the case, it will provide permanent capital to ASNB to invest or loan.

Dividend pymt day is easier to top up
*
What is the first day after reopen from dividend processing suspension for AS1M and ASW2020?

Well my competition with you guys will end at the end of this year once I finished transferring my FDs. Or else it will continue until next year.

I take lots of form. Fill up name and no. ahli at home and leave the value  blank. No form, no talk.
*
Good idea to take form and fill at home.

Oh, normally if you choose debit from your account, if amount < 2000, they ever asked you to withdraw from ATM? Last time I kena before, less than 2k, they don't want to debit from my account. Ask me to go withdraw from ATM and pass them cash... zzz.. I should have protest and marah them. That time the bank is 2 storey, teller is atas and ATM is bawah. Need to go up and down like working out at gym.

Holy moly. Maxed out.

Counter saying only can try again tomorrow?

Wanna ask about beneficiary:
1. If unit holder still alive, then can transfer units to family members
2. If unit holder passed away, how?
*
Ya, you can go from one bank to another throughout the day as much as you like.
1 - No
2 - Refer back earlier posts, some of them busy doing Pengisytiharan (will by amanah). If no will, I guess like other bank accounts, need to go through lawyer etc to get the deceased unit. If no one claim, account go on forever and ever(free FD for ASNB).

1. Correction. Can. Find a bank/asnb in the states which operate on Saturday. Go early. When the bank/asnb open straight tell the counter that you want to transfer, they should on the computer and carry out the transaction simultaneously. There is chance that you won't back the full unit.
*
Ya what I mean is officially speaking it is not transferable :), as in you cannot fill some forms to transfer your unit to anybody. This method is more of our own workaround solution.

CIMB counter staff highlighted to me regarding the 6 OTC transaction+ charges on my 2nd visit earlier on to change since I'm planning multiple trips to check out ASNB availability.

Thanks to you for highlighting this issues too as I've already changed it to BSA with ATM card with unlimited transaction in preparation of more funds coming in for ASNB later.
*
For 6 OTC (the limited BSA), I hope they only count when you done some deposit/withdrawal from your BSA. Not everytime you reach the counter and talk with the teller, like asking them to try units? So I assume like lets say you tell them to try units, but no units available - they should not count that into the 6 OTC quota right?

Think it's been mentioned before, but just confirm again - Saturday NO ASNB transaction AT ALL anywhere right? Even those agents that open on Saturday. Unless special case like MSAM where ASNB open their own branch.

Is the old smaller sized ASNB topup form still usable? The new form is bigger sized now, I think also has a space to write phone number which previously not available.

I only have the dark blue form about the size of a small greeting card. AFAIK,  all branch/bank use that dark blue form.
*
Ya, I still saw the old ones - I think light blue font. Very small print one. Size like the size of rear mirror inside a car.

Didn't take it for extra use, because I scared it's outdated. New ones few copies left, so didn't take.

*
Do different agent system can print their passbook using different font? I just noticed i have one transaction, the font is like squarish type of font.

Yes. Depend on what printer they are using.

I see, interesting to know.
I see the teller always make a pen stroke mark on the last transaction line too. Any purposes? Hmm..

Got it many times, like how they mark "/" with pen on each field on your topup slip, kind of like double checking or something.
