Put into your maybank account. Then direct debit from your maybank account.  smile.gif

apparently maybank can't direct debit more than 50k per day, as they are a 3rd party (as told my the gentlemen behind the counter)

Went to ASNB office for the Pengisytiharan Amanah thing.

Beside the registration fee of RM100 and the annual fee of RM10, surprised/shocked to learn that there is a will execution/withdrawal fee. See below. Maybe someone here has already mentioned that but my eyes and brain were not in sync then. Ha.

[attachmentid=6700859]

As an example, for RM0.5 million, fee of RM3875. What do we gain from this registration and paying the RM3875 fee? Is it worth it?

Beside getting the money distributed as per the instruction (with new ASX accounts if nominees do not have ASX) and settled within 21 days, I do not really see the need to have this done now. The lady there said with "dispatch letter" from the resident office (hope I remember correctly the document name here), the money will be transferred to the spouse within 6 weeks.

So, what are the other real drivers/benefits for having this will thing? Maybe I have overlooked something very important here. Please share/help.

Thanks.

ASNB office will give free gift if managed to top up RM50K in one shot rclxms.gif
depends on gifts/stocks available vmad.gif

Few months ago, after successful top up
( supposely rewarded with MP3 and Powerbank but habis stocks, doh.gif
so given a thermos and a shopping bag instead blink.gif
Ok loh, thank you boss

Pls spare a few mins to digest my story below :

for infor,
not all bank tellers are registered with ASx ID ,
at most only 2 & 1 as relief during lunchtime.
and yes, they can do tranx for all their friends, relatives and VIP clients,
provided fund must be available on demand, after successfully top up.
don't put them in a bad situation,
you will be " blacklist or marked as bad clients "

and the reason these tellers need to close their tranx
before 4pm, they must balance their cash on hand includes
other cash CASAFDHL / non-cash banking tranx,
then tellers need to raise internal vouchers to contra- offset cr/dr figures
with thier HQ b4 5pm,
then generate every tranx between the host & the respective main servers
within the time frame given.

should there be any unwanted incidents:
cash not balance lah
vouchers figure not tally
worst still wrong transacted code
then tellers need autorization to reverse the tranx
followed by calling customers to explain etc etc.....

with daily happening above, tellers will be praying hard,
not to be caught offguard with " Offline tranx "
meaning tranx shown in vouchers are ok-correct but not " pick up "
by the other end,
That part will be real headache for them cry.gif
Also, some mentioned
why some vouchers/ pay in slips/ passbooks are
being verified by them,
tellers are checking the tranx online code, amount & passbooks' holder name
to avoid mistakes, afterall tellers are human too

and the story goes on and on

Chezzz. Solly over long winded here
Thanks for your time

correct me, if im wrong above icon_rolleyes.gif

So many people like aunty twinkle everyday try too. Don't think aunty twinkle make too much difference. Not every "aunty twinkle" join Lowyat. smile.gif

Remember those that put the passbook and give few hundred K of cash to try until all in. As some of you reported yesterday smile.gif These are the stronger competition.

Bank staff also try everyday when they free to topup for themself and their family & friends, because they got exclusive access to the system.

Since it now seem like not fair as some can sapu a lot, do you guys think it will be more fair if they make it such that one account can only try X number of times per day? Since ASNB also say themselves they want to make it FAIR to everyone in their tweet.

Don't forget, auntie twinkle has the leisure to check few times/ day b'cos I'm retired with ready $$ from years of working. Majority here in lyn are young working generation and many have already discovered this ASX products and deposited majority of their saving here every month.
Poor auntie twinkle needs to make retirement last longer by getting better return and glad discovered this ASx via this forum.
Once my Fd mature next week and switched to ASX funds in June, I'm sure my multiple journeys will cease as there is no need to go if no $ is coming. The next FD batches are maturing in July and those are not for ASX products.
My daily limit is small and not big 5 digits. Out of 4-6x visits, many transactions only at 3 digits & 0.
For majority here, work hard, save more and don't forget to enjoy spending your hard earned $ too. icon_rolleyes.gif

YOu might want to consider EPF too. EPF returns are more or less same with ASX FP. Besides you are retired already which means you can withdraw your EPF anytime you like. rclxm9.gif

Unfortunately, I don't have much in EPF as I stopped working in Malaysia since 1990. By the way, auntie twinkle opted to retire young. Few more years to touch the tiny bit of EPF & CPF in Singapore. biggrin.gif

Update on my 'missing' dividends 1999- 2004 for ASW.

ASNB replied and stated the cheques were cleared. The letter is very detail on date of cheque issued and date of clearance at the bank.
So, it's must be auntie twinkle 'memory loss'. blush.gif
Anyway, it's good to clear this issues. thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif to ASNB for answering my 'embarrasing' enquiry. blush.gif

Good to hear they managed to retrieve all these.

Is it ethical to buy food for asnb officers?
-------------------

They say "Kami mengamalkan dasar tidak menerima hadiah" on the wall in ASNB. But I don't know what about you deal with them on friendship level. They may even find you drink coffee and help you topup. (wish:wish)

Guys, how come I notice last time the ASNB office security guard looks like don't have a gun. Just like a shopping mall guard. Even help layan customer on what forms to fill..

100% agreed Sifu on the estate planning. When compared with EPF, the additional high costs are clouding my mind with "no, no, no ..." Ha.

When I go, my wife can still get the money with the resident office's letter. 6 weeks later vs 3 weeks does not matter for us.

The other factor to consider (automatic transfer to their ASNB's ac) will be the deciding factor for me.

Just checked through Amanah Raya website...also charges based on percentage leh...not sure same or higher

Amanah Raya:
4% for first 25k
3% for next 225k
2% for next 250k
1% for next 500k
0.5% for remaining balance
*
I've used Amanah Raya before and I must say the service provided by ASNB is still cheaper, faster and "secure" as compared to amanah raya or wills. Amanah raya took me at least 8 months to settle so the only drawback is ASNB only handles their units and not other assets.

They mentioned in the letter regarding rm50k limit about transfer of units. Was thinking can ASNB transfer the units without it being snatch up? hmm.gif

If yes, I don't think there's need for Pengisytiharan.
