For local file library what player do u recommend with interface like kodi?
Eg thumbs/fan art display, movie info, subtitle downloads

Which is why 16gb min is required.

When i get 100mbps speed, then 32gb will be necessary to stream larger n better files, 4k, hd audio.

Player as in what device or box?

Kodi can do what u want with any device or box, i believe.

I personally do not do that, just old fashioned hdds, my own categories, no need artwork, etc.

Most impt is fast start up, play all files, great video, great audio!

Frankly... Kodi is just great at doing what it does that I've never bothered to look elsewhere.. If not using the inbuilt TV player (cuz quick usb plug n play.. Media box off), I use Kodi for pretty much all else. Most other players just go straight to the point and play the file and perhaps read the subtitles included in the same folder as the video... Anything beyond that is usually not considered priority.

yea, just looking for again for a simplified version (easy to use) with purty interface like kodi.

If you have a fast paid VPN or feel like getting one? Sure, else not really required. This is not the USA...Yet..

I understand.. Kodi of today is very easy to use. Need to have experienced it back in it's infancy to truly appreciate my statement. So It pretty easy to use as is. Especially for straight up local file playback.. Either from a file manager or from Kodi itself..

Sticking with Kodi? That's where skins come in.. Tons of simple looking skins out there and for local playback, you can install a different Kodi version/fork (minimalist design) and assign that as the default player for local file playback. That's how my setup is.. Official Kodi for addons streaming and a customized version only for local playback.. Library fully integrated in each. IMO.

Nice... Can share with me some custom kodi setups tht u are using now? I can people do tht, use minix kodi for stream then Krypton/fork for local files

Ah.. Seems like you use a Minix device too... So basically, mine's the other way around. By custom, I mean to my needs.. Summarily;

*Minix XBMC: Aeon Nox (lovely library setup)/Stock confluence skin... Subtitle addons, Custom keymap.xml & advancedsettings.xml... Used only for local file playback.. Cuz it's already heavily optimized for the device and plays high bitrate files better... Fully supports HD audio passthru via HDMI to HT. Library set to scrap sources locally from ext HD/Networked storage.

*Official Kodi Jarvis: Currently on Amber Skin... Love Aeon Nox Skin too... Subtitle addons, Custom keymap.xml & advancedsettings.xml... Mainly for online streaming, Live PVR setup..etc.. Library linked to addons such as Quasar, Exodus, SALTS, etc... Due to its more dynamic nature, maintenance and full backup is done on a weekly basis (at least...takes less than 5 minutes). So in case of any issues, Easy rollback.

*SPMC: Testing bed for new addons/builds and if considered stable enough, they get installed onto the official Kodi app.

can i use kodi to run android apps, which uses kodi features to minimise buffering?

you can open the android apps in KODI 17.1 but they run independently.

guys mind asking is kodi exodus are down as streaming are super alow and aomwtime no provider. internet test alreafy done is 28mbps

Yes you can, provided the app has an "open with" feature. Usually, that then triggers a popup list showing installed media players... Select Kodi from the list.. The stream will be opened in Kodi... The originating app remains in the background.

Exodus working.. Really depends on the source and streaming connection.

Only have one problem with icdrama. I tried to click "married but available drama ep6" it pop out a message "failed can't resolve the URL"

I will try later. I haven't reached episode 6 yet, only 4th.
Outside now, watching Beauty and the Beast.

To solve your problem get the urlresolver script from here :

and install it by "system -> settings -> add-ons -> install from zip file"
