Gorilla Glass Is a Myth, Do you agree with that?

gorilla is indeed stronger than glass,
but in the end it is still glass but if you compare to normal glass i doubt those user that could easily break gorilla glass able to survive using normal glass with screen protector on it what the use of having nice high resolution lcd then plaster it with lousy piece film on it which diffuse some of its light? my g2 never use screen protector almost 2 years now. still no visible scratches
not saying gorilla glass is godlike but its good enough for daily use and vastly superior than normal glass. no doubt. ofcourse there is no harm of using sp/tempered glass since its cheap. the point is you can go either way also no problem. whoever thinks gorilla glass never scratches or shatter is uninformed/bengong. |

By the way my g flex no applied screen protector since day 1.. Screen still clean and clear.. And i,m a pretty rough user btw..

Gorilla glass is resistance to scratch n crack only not 'proof' resistance mean harder only but will still happen.

im not sure about gorilla glass capability for scratch resistance..
I still applied tempered glass protection for all my phones.. 1 sole reason is whenever the phone accidentally dropped , only the glass protector is cracked.. screen is still safe.. the tempered glass that i buy just cost me less than RM10 so no issues in replacing it if cracked..and to certain extend it do protect from minor scratches.. |

Ayam use rm5 tempered glass. Scratch/Crack no hard feeling.. Plenty of spare to waste. What for risking for advertised gorilla. What If gorilla don't work.

Gorilla glass has higher hardness rating than normal mineral glass, but still when put against a grain of sand (silica), silica can scratch it.
Don't believe the nonsense of knives/keys unable to scratch gorilla glass. Metal is inherently less hard than glass. That is why all chefs cringe when you use a glass chopping board with your kitchen knife. Glass is harder, and will dull the blade of the knife very fast. |

Go youtube watch gorilla glass test. It ain't scratch proof, just scratch resistant, even a glass 3 can resist metal key scratch, i think it's good enough for daily usage.
