QUOTE(Mighty Duck @ May 3 2017, 01:29 PM) Maxis need to upgrade their existing plan.... they still very kedekut to give more data compare to Celcom and Digi....which both are now getting more and more attractive the promotion and the amount of data they giving. Celcom and Digi now also giving sharing option. Hope Maxis wake up and react..... don't wait for another tsunami come..... Actually I find that their 4g 8gb weekend data and daily 1gb for 1 hr (30gb) is very attractive that one can sign the plan as low as rm30 per mth and use all the data comes with it. And it is more than sufficient if one does not call much. The extra data such as 10gb basic internet for the speed of 64kbps is totally crap. At least maxis gave something that is fast in speed and it is really usable.

Celcom has 1 feature up, which is if you add another rm10, you get to combine the weekday data and weekend data to become all-day which means instead of 15 weekday, 15 weekend, u get 30 24/7 by just top up 10 worthy for those data usage trend consistent for day-in-day-out regardless weekday/end if maxis has 1...i may consider that...

Of course for those who subscribes to first gold earlier is even better becos they get unlimited SMS for the same price at rm80 comparing to now.

to be frank, Maxis already stated that they will not compete with other telcos (not so much significant update) because they want to maintain the speed and stability for its users.

At least users have a choice to choose over quality than price. For telco that offers cheaper plans, it also indirectly means more users who value price will choose it and it will eventually cause network congestion. But instead, paying a bit more to be in a network that most ppl do not choose due to price is actually a good thing because one can enjoy a more dedicated and better service due to this.

QUOTE(ketiak_masyam @ May 12 2017, 09:20 AM) yesterday maxis call offering to upgrade my maxis go plan to maxis one plan...with free phone, either huawei nova lite or samsung j5 prime.. Put it this way, for the free phone (mid range phone?)for as long as you are with Maxis you will be paying extra RM50/mth. Do you have need for the extra data and free calls. If yes go for IT but beware of the T&C contract. Once you give up your Maxis Go plan I don't think you can revert to your old plan. That's my view.

Not to mention maxis is no 1 in terms of speed, original the maxis users are enjoying good speed all the time. Now with lesser subscribers, it should be even better. So it is actually a good news.

Maxis, Celcom and Digi really has their own problems but overall still ok reliable enough. Anyway, since I got my iPhone I am gonna try umobile to fit on my android. Reason so is iPhone tethering somehow drains more energy than I would like as compared to my Android phone. Doesn't make sense for me to have my secondary phone tethering onto my iPhone for my data needs.
