If you had downloaded wrong file the firmware will failed to install....chances of hard bricking is zero
Your phone will just restart and nothing is deleted

No.. I had sold my M8 allready. I am saying from my experience using several HW phones. I had tested flashing incompatible firmware too and phone simply just reject it once it hit emui splash logo stage

Guys, my Mate 8 is constantly freezing nowadays, at least 3 times a day from unknown reasons. My software version is B320 BTW, what can I do to fix this and what's the cause?

On XDA they say no compatible TWRP for Mate 8 with Android 7.0 yet, you'll have problem if want to flash back to Android 6.0

Guys, huawei one to one exchange only can exchange once? Or always exchange for new unit if faulty within warranty period?

Just updated from B320 to B321, performance somehow got MUCH smoother, hopefully this will fix my freezing and lag issue.

After using this phone for a month, i think the camera is good or at least not as bad/mediocre as what the 'experts' reviewed. Sad too see reviewers bombarded an otherwise great all rounder phone. The camera -in my humble opinion- is better than my previous Note 5.

Anybody else think the same?

I do agree with you the camera is equally as good as Note 5
However few users here disagreed and said Note 5 is better
I am just a simple point and shoot guy and the Mate8 photos are very well acceptable by me

Glad to hear someone with the same opinion. I'm use auto shot all the time. Point and shoot, and i found the pictures are good. Could all the updates -somehow- fixed the image processing after almost a year out in the market? I don't know. But as my opinion goes, mate 8 camera is not as bad as what the reviewers said.

Glad to have bought this phone. Though i have some qualm prior to the purchase.
