Very struggling to change from HTC to Huawei...

Just bite the bullet. I have no qualms at all switching from others to Huawei.

Your wording too advance... Don't understand.
*
LOL. What I meant was, just buy and use it. Huawei is an excellent phone. You should have little worries trying to get used to it.

Anybody here using internet speed meter from Google play store?

After install only the icon appears on the top bar, it should be numbers. Anybody? Haven't seen this problem with other phones, even Mate 7.

if not, normally can't see the figures....
I'm using internet speed lite from Google play store
*
Yeah same here, using internet speed meter, but no numbers, just the icon. Any tweaks need to be done?

just in case for warranty claim , they need the receipt or just bring the device only like samsung warranty claim ?
*
No, you just need your IMEI No... Or just bring the device to service centre, they'll check

played around with the mate8 display sets... camera, etc... i noticed that quite often, ended up accidentallytouching the sizes and end up wrongly focusing the camera. but that was coz i was trying to use one hand...

seems not easy to use with one hand due to the small bezels, ya?
*
You can swipe left or right, the navigation buttons so the screen becomes smaller... For one handed use

Use USB OTG, it works all the time. It has been like 2 years I didn't connect my phone to computer to transfer files

talking about OTG, I'm currently looking for 1. Do you know which is the best on market?

32GB or 64GB... willingly to pay more for the speed.
*
I have a few actually. All is SanDisk brand, 64GB. Am playing safe. Before this there is one brand STRONTIUM 128GB I used, but depends on the phone u use, sometimes ok sometimes does not register.

Hi guys,

Does Huawei give warranty on the screen? Cos mine have a dent already. Don't know how it happened but a dent on the screen,
*
Nope unless you can prove it's not out of carelessness.

anyone know where is huawei official service centre? If we want to change battery, they can do it on the spot right?
*
May I know why you are asking to change the battery? I'd recommend Plaza Berjaya opposite of Times Square. Had good experience there.

Actually Mate 8 speaker is one of the best, my Redmi Note 3, Note 5, Xperia Z Ultra, and even my friend's iPhone 6s is pale in comparison.
*
Same thoughts however try P9 Plus. It has treble from the earpiece and bass from the bottom speaker. Almost emulating front facing speaker. Good job Huawei!

Nowadays its quite hard to find a speaker with good quality, only a few company like Motorola, Huawei, and HTC keeps them.
*
That I agree. Also in my list is Lenovo Vibe X3.

When the notification pops up, just long press on it. There will be a screen to change preferences or just dis allow it to show.

You can choose individual apps
