Hmm..dunno is Core Duo problem or RAM problem. May be 32bit processor not suitable for vista cos i heard some v3222 (Turion 64 x2)users can running smooth in vista environment wo.

Now i still confusing to choose between Dv6205tx and V3204 model. Hm..

How u all feel with Turian Processor in V3000? fast enough? Any comment?

wat i can say turionx2 is great,absolutely fast for me since i change platform from athlon xp 2500+.even heat issue is same with intel.the only complain of my lappy is d harddisk is quite hot compare with other laptop.maybe is seagate own problem due to high revolution of harddisk

it is because of the harddisk (WD to be specify)
not because of the processor

i think my sempron is fast enough.

after following the 1st page driver installation step....i still left out 1 hardware unknows....i think my card reader is not working...any1 can help out...i m V3222AU user..

V3222 dont have card reader man. Thats y not working lo.

but the spec stated got....confusing also....

What's so confusing? The card reader is a hardware, just look at ur V3200 see if you have it.

V3218TU Audio drivers Tutorial (might be applicable on other models though)

Ok..here is the tutorial to install sound driver on V3218TU with headphone jack working and no speaker sound when using headphone.

NOTE : if u have previously installed a working sound driver but the speaker is not mute when u r using headphone,u need to uninstall the previous driver. On Device Manager choose Conexant High Definition Audio and click uninstall.

download this softpaq(driver files)

double click the exe and let it extracts the files to

C:\swsetup\SP33470 (u can choose other path, but i will use the default path here).

after it extracts the files..it will try to detect the hardware or media and it will eventually gives u an error in detecting media or so..that is normal. Just click OK.

after that, go to Device Manager, highlight High Definition Audio Bus or sumthing like that, right click, choose install driver/update driver..

then follow as in the screenshots..








Click YES/OK when the windows message pop out, and let it install the driver.

Restart ur laptop and try out the speaker and headphone. It should work now.

so far so good for AMD Turion x2 1.6Ghz... the processor working just fine.. the speed... i satisfy with it

one thing i agree with retnuoc, the harddisk quite hot...

SATA Native

01. Enable SATA native in bios [press F6 while setup in text mode], buy a SATA drive note there is no reason to disable the function.

Another way is integrate the SATA driver in to the XP CD by adding [$OEM$]. A lot of modified.

02. Vista has no problem with the SATA native enable in bios. It build in the driver. [wild guess]

03. Ubuntu 6.1 have no problem with the SATA native enable. [autodetect]

Connexant HD Audio
01. Compaq has release the XP base drive from their site. Got an media error messege you need to install manually. Start up sound is suck and annoying!! but seem this note are for Vista, replace the default xp sound scheme with vista sound scheme will be good.

02. Vista no tested [didn't buy the genuine]

03. Ubuntu 6.1 have no sound problem issue.

Final decision on Ubuntu 6.1, seldom play game.

Those Quicklaunch buttons not working under ubuntu/linux.
