You got backup the system b4 right? just restore it back then should be ok.

If you r heavy use user then go for it. Its worth. If just use for presentation and office work then I think not need la cos expensive also.

Linux is a free source OS. The function is something different with MS but can handling easily soon. You can download many other free source also from the website. MS jus ttalking about money, all software need $$ but LInux not

About the Ram, I suggest u buy from HP service centre and use the original HP ram.

v3166 can play light games or online games only. IF NFS carbon just can play in low setting. This is the bad thing happened on v3000 series.

v3133 got Linux that was a free dos. If you planing take to show off the starbuck or wat better buy a original Windows Xp.v3166 come with WMC OS.

Turion X2 TL-50 and 52 just RM150 different only.Where u get this info?If u want to compare the compaq v3164 and v3133 then that is many different not only processor.The v3133 got anti glare screen,glossy surface(anti scratch),512 RAM,dvd writer,6 in 1 card reader..worth than that.

The 128 / 256mb of gf6150 is depend on ur system memory. If ur system ram is 512MB then may be it can share up to 256MB ram to GC. Better Ram better performance for ur gaming. One question,FEAR doesnt need a high end GPU to play? Someone said they play till blue screen with GF6150 wo.Correct me if i am wrong

Take the laptop to HP service center to upgrade ur RAM. This is the safest way.

After install the driver. U may try other cd else see whenever can play or not. Sometime is cause by sensitive issue or purchased illegal VCD/DVD . If still same problem occured then you have to prepare to claim ur warranty.

Try to download n install the latest driver version fom the 1st page there n see neither can settle ur problem or not.

V3203 got DVD writer but V3222 not. If u does't need this then I recommend u take the V3222. Hardisk space not a problem,you can purchase a external HDD anytime when needed.

see what windows do u install. if winxp then choose win xp driver. If vista then choose for vista driver. dont install the wrong driver o..

This is mobile designed procosser,so dont worry about the heat problem especially c2d.

V3000 obselete alr right?now is v3200 series. If u worry about heat problem then i recommend u take the lenove Y400 with c2d T5500.
