SiuYi : for my Turion 64 X2 tl-50, i undervolt, not underclock, means it still runs at the same clockspeed, but at lower voltage , therefore less heat.

my tweaking principle is based on the article found here http://winhlp.com/rmclock.htm , but i change the settings to suit my turion because they used athlon.

****Below is how i tweak my AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 1.6Ghz, I not sure about other model's settings as I don't have other processors.

****I don't guarantee that even the same AMD processor as mine will be stable when use such setting.
Stable = no freezes, crashes, other weird stuff happening under idle, light or heavy load. So far, it works for me.

****Don't worry if you think you got the wrong setting, just exit the program totally including the taskbar icon, then the setting won't affect
windows. If window somehow crash or freeze, reset the laptop to remove the RMClock setting. There is a way to make the setting permanent
at startup, but i don't set it though.

How To:
1) look under download section, Rightmark CPU Clock utility (RMClock), you can choose to download the "exe" version or the "rar" version of executable and data files. Install the program.

2) run the program, you will see something like pic1 diagram .

3) under the 'management' tab, i leave all to default, except that i change the "CPU default selection' setting to 'CPU-defined default FID/VID' (pic2 diagram). click the apply button situated bottom right.

4) then, go to the 'profile' tab, i changed my settings as referred to pic3 diagram, I unchecked index 1 & 3, and I changed my voltage at 8.0x from 1.075V to 1.025V. Click apply button situated bottom right.

5) under the 'profile' tab too, there are 4 subtabs, i just choose 'performance on demand" subtab.

6) under 'performance on demand' subtab, I checked the 'use P-state transitions (PST) ' under AC power and Battery section, I checked index 0,2,4. Then at the lower section, i changed the CPU target usage % to 40. Click apply button situated bottom right. Please refer to pic4 diagram.

7) ok, so now the settings is done, we will need to activate the profile. There are 2 ways to do this.
a) go to 'profile' tab' , under profile selection, choose performance on demand option. Then click the apply button situated bottom right. Please
refer to pic5 diagram.

b) this is a shortcut, under the taskbar, there will be the rmclock icon, you can click the icon, goto 'curent profile', and choose performance on
demand. Please refer pic6 diagram.

8) Done!

Any questions please feel free to ask, i will try to answer them.

Please share if anyone manage to tweak any settings differ from mine and have improved performance, temperature...etc and they are stable!!

now when i used headset, no sound thru the headset still the sound come from the notebook.
another noob question, i cound find any button or hot key to adjust my sound?

What i mean is,even tho i use vista or xp,its still the same problem will occur.
I tried everything,but seems still the problem occur.


Its different with me,when i plug in my headphone,i still can hear the sound from the laptop speaker.

tried ur software.FAIL!
my gpu heat rose up to 94C instead of staying at 84C liaw..cant do.even if the proc is stabil..the gpu is way too high.duno y.follow the instructions but mu gpu now never get less.im frus liaw.

because play game need use a lot resources from GPU.. and that will heat up the GPU

The guide that I pose is for CPU ( AMD Turion 64 X2 ) processor, not the GPU ( geforce go 6150 ).

I still can't change the clockspeed of the GPU. The only I can do is just use 'balance' in powermizer, not 'maximum performance'.

Need help on tweaking GPU.

if ur having an amd turionx2 proc..its fact that mobo will burn after long play.extend waranty juz proceed any official waranty centre with ur lappie.dota need high reso and its all about the gforce card in it.
