btw i am jus having small problem here, try to install winxp, the notebook is looking for raid driver to install 1st,
any link to get the driver, if not i cant install windows

2nd time isn't lucky...and the motherboard have been changed before. What peeve me is that they are gonna charge me for a manufacturing defects which was proven in the first repair done in late July last year. Wherether I will proceed with the repair will depend on the how much they want to charge me.

By the way..I am using the AMD model V3010...I think...

weird....i install BROADCOM WIRELESS driver on my V3758TU lappie but its not appear on Device Manager.....i think why my lappie wireless disabled because of it.......

anyone can explain why it happen ??? is that because wrong driver or mobo problem....i install the driver from HP website....

did you enable the wireless switch on the laptop?

yes i switch it ON ......bluetooth apps is OK ....but wireless got prob....
even i install BROADCOM wireless driver it not appear in Device Manager....

Well guesss what..the HP service centre call me today (on a Saturday)..and told me that the prob was a defective motherboard again..geessshhh!!! No wonder they are selling it at such a low price!! Instead of updating me on the status of my notebook..they have the nerve to ask for the password to my HDD..That kind of lit the fuse to the bomb...
I told him off and said that I dont give password to anyone and if they want to test my notebook...I want to be there!! And further more I told the guy on the phone that I have not even received any qoutation or prices for the needed repairs or have my consent to proceed with the replacement..so what the @#$* are they doing!! And then he told me that there will be no charges for the repairs..so let see what happens on Monday when I go to get my notebook.

Will update u guys...I hope that anyone else that have such probs..do share their experience here with the other members. As consumer, we should not let big corp. like HP get the better of us...

This will be the last Compaq I will ever buy from now on...will stick to brands like NEC,Sony,IBM...pay a little more but peace of mind.

ur warranty finish d, how come b4 say charge, suddenly say no charge? u better ask that fella few times, MAKE SURE REALLY NOT CHARGE. so when u go and claim that time they wan u to pay, u have a reason to F**k them off!

actually i like this laptop alot...for it's performance and design. the only problem is for AMD, the heat issue will lead to many more problems like urs.

ask them properly why suddenly no charge on the service....and they canot do anything to ur laptop b4 they quote any price....waaaa..if like that die la, i repair for u, then end of the day i tell u repair charge RM1000, who wan to pay....then if dun wan to pair how? put back the spoil system board?ask them properly

by the way, last time i send in they also ask for password...luckily my laptop dun have much personal things like Edison chen..hahah...they wan to check whether after installing the new system board, the drivers still can use or not

btw, a few of my friends using this laptop oso experienced the same thing, replace board need to pay....... one of them said that the price is rm10XX i think, which he din agree and din replace.

anyone has the V3000 acpi module, i wanna try to control the system using NHC.

also, has anyone tried underclocking geforce go 6150, I cant chage the clock setting, it seems that the laptop won't let me alter the GPU speed setting. I use atitool 0.26.

itried to install winxp on my newly bought laptop v3756tu, done with the intell mass storage thing for the hdd, now i already have c partition fot the freedos,
should i format the c partition or create the new one and install xp on the new partition?
i tried to install in new partition but required the iastor.sys from winxp cd again which done in 1st step

so what ur friend did after he didnt change the system board? throw the lappy into dusbin?

by the way, im thinking of underclocking the GPU also...for the sake of the system board...

i tried using NHC also, Nvidia Ntune also canot...

how to underclock arr? or set it to lower frequency when idle...

can anyone teach us here?

HP knows the problem the AMD chip Compaq Notebook have and I DID give them shit big time the first time when I started having this problem just after 2 months of buying the notebook from LYP. They better not F$@# ard with me coz I m not in the mood to negotiated. It shows how unprofessional they are by not providing us with tips on how to avoid the reoccurance of the prob and threatening us with expired warranty clause hoping we will not pursue the issue and just pay up.

Well..I only have work infor in my notebook and I normally dont practise giving out any password or codes through the phones or email for that matter. Better be safe than sorry.. As I have said..I will test it at the service centre on Monday. Well..all I can say is that the bugger Edison Chen is one hell of a lucky *******...

Hey Eterman..thanks for yr support..but dont be sorry for me though.. ...be sorry for the person that is gonna serve me on Monday..if things doesn't go smoothly...I am gonna them big time.!!

Tried looking throught hte manuals and gave no indication whatsoever .
Searched the internet someone mentioned something about PCI express card ..

But from the looks of it .. it looks covered , try to open the flap , no joy

is it expresscard slot?

i just bought a laptop Compaq v3000 v3715AU
but got problem with the "etherner controller"
i cant find the driver for this devices......
i found that they said this driver is support by graphic card
Nvidia..so i have try to download and install the driver but still cant ....
so i am here to ask for all sifus help ...
