I got myself a V3415AU from all it hypermarket, forgot to ask whether they sell extra battery 9-cells.

Anyway, anyone knows whether lowyat sells them and how much ?
The battery drains quite fast IMO, unlike my dell inspiron, it has a software configuration to reduce power consumption when power is not plugged. I am sure its not a big deal since these remedy can be customised.

i think the heat problem is also one of the reason that leads to the fast batery draining problem...any idea????

my gf's lenovo y400 very keng, no heat problem at all, and the batery life is ofcoz better compare to my V3415AU...

no one complain about heat problem??? anyone here to share??

if not mistaken, we can check 3 temperatures....one is HDD temp, another is CPU temp and the other one is GPU(using nvdia nview or something)...

i also notice that not long ago...it's something like, the left side handles the bass, and the right side handles the treble...i dont think it's a fault...but overall, speaker still good compare to other brand's lappy...

AMD Dual-Core Optimizer -
The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC (Read Time Stamp Counter) instruction. Applications that rely on RDTSC do not benefit from the logic in the operating system to properly account for the affect of power management mechanisms on the rate at which a processor core's Time Stamp Counter (TSC) is incremented. The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer helps to correct the resulting video performance effects or other incorrect timing effects that these applications may experience on dual-core processor systems, by periodically adjusting the core time-stamp-counters, so that they are synchronized.

AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology Driver Version 1.3.2.0053 for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (x86 and x64) -
Allows the system to automatically adjust the CPU speed, voltage and power combination to match the instantaneous user performance need. This package is a user friendly localized software installation of the driver designed for end-users. This driver supports AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology on Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003 SP2 x86 and x64 Editions.

so far not much problem with my 3614AU. don't really feel the heat also (but i havent try burning dvd tongue.gif). Battery life is ok too. i can watch a near 2hours movie on battery. of course without wifi on. I use NHC to do dynamic switching, so that really helped.

the couple of 'bugs/flaws' i found are
-LAN port a bit loose
-Need to mute the speaker then only plug in headphone, else both output will have sound.
