i plan to get V3417. is it a good laptop?

mostly want to use it to do programming, office, listening music.

i want to upgrade the ram to 2gb coz i want to install vista.

can geforce go 6150 run PES 2007/NBA Live 07 smoothly? (mid setting)

the 3417 is a fine laptop...but to play ur NBA...not sure...but mid setting should be able to play...if now low setting

ya, i tried in the shop.. but mine does not have the option... weird.. any bootup sata driver can download??

i also install vista, but dont like it..very slow...

why not install vista and disable all visual effects

if got color its not mean dead pixel. it Color is combination from RGB it called stuck pixel? hm.. because other color not work, which mean only the Green color work. Correct me if wrong

There's no way GO 6150 can play PES/NBA 2007.
I barely can run Warcraft 3 smoothly also.

p/s : I shared out 256mb for the 6150.

Actually its posible to do that...but you must have at least 2gb ram...

FYI, I had 2GB ram.
After the deduction from graphic memory it left 1.8GB, but still go unsmooth on the graphic, i mean not so good looking.

i running home basic, disable all effects.. using windows classic theme.. still slow when loading videos...

If you did like this, why don't you switch to XP?
Btw, what video player you using?

graphics is smoother on Geforce Go 6150 is RAM is in dual channel mode...

i wanted to use xp.. but my bios does not have option to disable the sata... so windows setup unable to find my hard disk.. anyone got the link to download the sata driver??

I have a question, is it possible to upgrade the graphics card for compaq presarios? compaq is telling me that the max video ram i can achieve is 32mb the other 32mb is dynamic even running higher than 1gb ram. What is a Defeatured Motherboard??? Apparently my board is a df board not a full featured.

Added on July 1, 2007, 9:24 pmboys! boys! for those of u v3000 series hang or random restarts try using kvr 533 rem even though the ori hp ram maybe 667.... it does not hang now.... i just tried my v3100 series with kvr 533 for 7 hours wifi no restart just disconnect once.....

I was on 667 since I started to use v3000.
And my record was 100 hours with wifi on, no problem at all.

tried... anyway, just let me know the link for sata controller if have..

u mean V3500 series ?
