Not the share memory thingy.
What i mean as how to upgrade the forceware firmware.
It stated there "open the inf file", and i don't know what it is, and i don't know how to add the 2 lines thingy in.

I'm using Crosair value ram, 1GB 2 sticks.
No problem with that till now. (from last sunday )

so sad... i've tried as u'all said... but still crash

No problem but u have to forgot about dual channel lo.

of coz can lol ..just that it does not have dual channel as ..dual channel need both same memory size ..but u can always upgrade to 1gig in future ..

Hey guys, i just got that V3000 laptop today... Hopefully its a good decision and so far, there are no regrets...

For an entry-level Celeron, this notebook has an excellent widescreen as well as WiFi built-in... And the price i paid for it is an extremely affordable RM1799!

Looks like its back to the good ol' Starbucks wireless days once again...

u need to unpack the file.... the locate the folder where the files have been placed, then open one of the file named .... .inf using notepad.

u saw the notepad ?open it and scroll down and edit it. u got the line ?if dun have i can giv u those 2 lines

i also searching for the new lappy.since my budget under 2k, maybe i go for compaq v3000 series - celeron processer. at lowyat, the price starting RM1799.

what do u think guys? i doubt if with rm1799, i can get celeron lappy + windows OS...

anyone here using mushkin ddr2 667 512mb x 2 ? my laptop is a v3218au = amd

i'm having problems when doing certain things on my laptop...
esp when playing video (divx,xvid) different players also same problem.... different installations also same problem...

but when i encode movies no problem... it doesnt hang.

only when playing movies.... normallly 30-40 minutes into the movie it will freeze and the speaker emits short looping sound continously.

i already upgraded latest firmware and drivers from compaq, on another installation i also have custom drivers from other sources. both installations also behave the same, freeze when doing certain things.

temperature i monitor.... its still ok... if temperature is the problem then i should hang when i encoding movies.

anyone have any idea ? could it be the ram ?

Added on May 23, 2007, 12:31 pmi suspected the cdrom drive because some people have issues with compaq series combo drive. stilll freeze also.

I try to do an manual update for Vista from Microsoft website.

This's actually for the iTunes program so that to avoid any iPod corrupted when we click on the "remove hardware safely".

The problem is that there is 2 file for the update....one for Windows Vista x86 based version and another for Windows 64 bit version.

Which one should I choose ??
