How/can confirm that you fulfill this condition? 2 of my transactions were actually done in July but bank statement transaction date and value date both shown in August. So I assume these 2 will be part of August's calculation which customer service previously confirmed that interest calculation will be done based on bank statement transaction date. Then now, they say 1 of my July transaction is posted in July while the other July's transaction posted in August. Now, this is ridiculous because on my bank statement, it shows both transactions captured in August. Where OCBC get this info-on 1 is in July while the other in August ?? Customer certainly don't see this in their bank statement. In fact, I purposely monitored my spending (base on the bank statement) to ensure that I meet this criteria. So OCBC is saying that both months I am not entitled which is certainly wrong as now with the 2 transactions splitted in different months, I fail the criteria. This is ridiculous because you either base on the actual spending date or base on the bank statement date (which both transaction date and value date show as August spending). So I should get the interest for 1 month either July or August This post has been edited by abcn1n: Sep 5 2019, 11:00 PM

Still risking there. To be safe, for future spending avoid spending near end of month. It's alright to do month end spending once sure Rm500 spend has already been spend before end of month.

Well, base on ocbc bank statement, both the transactions value date are in August. So I should rightfully get the 1.3% in August. Reason why my July's spending was so late was because I finally learnt how to pretty easily fulfill the 3 conditions. When I didn't get for July, my $500 was spent pretty early on in August. So how to report to Bank Negara? Is it email to this address? bnmtelelink@bnm.gov.my

OCBC is very tardy in updating both credit and credit card transactions. If your transactions are routine, I agree that its best to avoid end of the month. Give it at least a week for the transaction to update in the system.

Anyway, anybody has any experience dealing with bank negara when they file a complaint against a bank?
