I notice that I did an Instant Transfer from MBB to OCBC on 30 Sep, but OCBC captured the txn date and posting date as 1 Oct 2019.. n I check my previous txn, it seem all the incoming fund is captured 1 day late..

I think the timing so far is unique to ocbc at least (you might try other banks which have similar high yield savings account to test out whether they have such cut off time and their behavior and treatment to transaction after cut off time). Yes, the balance will reflect immediately. However, for interest calculation and condition qualifying, transaction after cut off time will be deemed as next calendar day transaction.

I usually take advantage of this by transferring after the cut off time to pay for my cc that due on the day  laugh.gif (e.g. ambank card due date on 24th September, I will transfer to my mabank cc on like 10 pm, so that the balance is still earning interest on 24th September while my credit card will show balance paid at 24th September, no late payment  tongue.gif )

Good move...lol...

I am planning to do that also. but some times just lazy to do payment at night

I plan to use Wechat reload to meet the "spend" criteria. If I withdraw from Wechat back to 360 account, it meet the "deposit" criteria, right?

consider. both cc/dc spending and deposit if the amount is >RM500

1.20% - Deposit minimum RM500 per month
1.20% - Pay minimum 3 bills via OCBC 360 Account using OCBC Online Banking portal (includes Standing Instructions for Loan repayment and OCBC Credit Card payment)
1.20% - Spend minimum RM500 on your OCBC Credit Card

hi all, wanna ask if there is any requirement or timeline to do the above 3 steps in order to get the 4.1% ? Or i can do anytime within the month...? or must complete by first day of the month etc.

thank you
*
Early of each month. Advisable not to do it after 25th....to avoid transaction not captured at the same month then got dispute and then need to report to bnm to solve the problem for certain people. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Strange cos I went myself to OCBC to ask them what good savings plan they have, and the only thing they could recommend me was something with the insurance savings plan....and its for 12 or 20 years...

And that one was 4.1 % interest.

I said no thank you and walked out.
*
Trust the people here. We do more research and real case than the bank site. haha....360 is best for now till they revise the %.

QUOTE(cucikaki @ Oct 16 2019, 12:10 AM)
The deposit, spend and paybills criteria can be done at any point of time during the calender month right (for example 19th of every month) then I will still get the bonus rate of 1.3% + 1.3% + 1.3% right.

The banker yesterday explain to me differently but I'm sure he's wrong. Lazy to argue with him, I just yes yes all the way as my lunch hour is only an hour. ahahah. - as per him, if the 3 criteria only met middle of the month (say 15th) of the month, then i will rugi as the 3.90% will not be calculated based on the average balance will only start when I fulfill the criteria. say (RM2000 x 15 days) divide 30 days.
*
As long as u do all 3 within that month, posted that month, you are safe. Thats y I have mentioned earlier, avoid doing cc/dc transfer after 25th(safest), better do it earlier, as cc/dc settlement will delay. If posted nex month, you lost 1.3% for that criteria.

For others, just make sure you dump all your money on 1st of the month, as all interests are calculated base on the days of money that stay at your account. I got one excel calculation, the value not running much 1-2 cent different from what I really get, if any one interest, can pm me to share.

*
I suggest you go open bank account 1st, deposit few k into that account. Then proceed to ocbc online cc application, they will email you and one saleman will follow up with you. pretty nice the salesman - Lawrence.

https://www.ocbc.com.my/personal-banking/Cards/index.html

Online apply via here. They will email you the current promo.

Recurring transfer? Yes, it works too, i tested it on first month. Fund transfer, pay credit card or loan payment also included as bill payment as long as within calendar month. Avoid last 5 days before end of month as what avinlim had suggested before.
*
Yes, pay cc bill(instant transfer) / duit now / instant transfer bank acc. All eligible for the pay bill 1.3%. So far never miss, but my bills amounts all RM10 above. so dunno RM 2/3/5 will make any different o not. Did any OCBC 360 pay bill T&C stating anythg?

-------------additional info--------------

https://www.ocbc.com.my/assets/pdf/Accounts...unt_TnC_ENG.pdf

Item 3.4, not stating any amount. so RM2/3/5 should be fine.

**Under the OCBC online web "favourite transfer", you can actually do 3 transfer to different bank/cc 1 shot, easy, should be no problem hitting the "pay bill" criteria.

**can set recurring transfer RM10 to 3 diff banks every month and forget about the "pay bill" thg, you will get that 1.3% as well.

Only cannot be the same recipient within a month. So I guess any amount will do as long as it’s different recipient/bank.

3.4. (a)
A “Bill Payment” means a payment from the Eligible Customer’s OCBC 360 Account made :
(i)
(ii)
through retail payment channel of OCBC Online Banking or OCBC Internet Banking to :
(a) the Eligible Customer’s OCBC/OCBC Al-Amin home loan facility; or
(b) any account with any bank or financing institution other than OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad; or
© any participating billing organisations; or
including payment by Interbank GIRO conducted through OCBC Online Banking / OCBC Internet Banking, but excluding any payment by the Financial Process Exchange (FPX) platform; or
pursuant to standing instruction to the Eligible Customer’s OCBC home loan facility.
(b) Multiple payments within the calendar month to the same merchant/payee/account/billing organization shall be deemed as one Bill Payment. For example:
(i) multiple payments to the same home loan facility account; or
(ii) multiple payments to the same participating billing organisation, unless each payment is uniquely identified to a different account; or
(iii) multiple payments to the same account with any bank or financing institution.

yea...got people report RM1 also can. But to move out from the GREYZONE and any dispute later...I choose RM10, more worry free. RM1 and RM10 make no different to me anywhere, can always transfer back any time at ZERO cost... tongue.gif

Is the OCBC Debit card for OCBC 360 SA optional? If I manage to get OCBC Titanium CC to fulfill the "Spend" criteria, can I not renew my Debit card for the second year (to save RM8)? By the way, so far, is there any good promotion for Debit Card?  biggrin.gif

QUOTE(cucikaki @ Oct 21 2019, 11:42 AM)
Wow. Someone jump ship to OCBC too tongue.gif

Reported earlier need to take the debit card eventho u have CC with the bank. Depends on branch. For me, no debit card also can as long as i have credit card with them. But if no CC, u need to do DC. So maybe once u got ur CC then u can try ask whether ur branch accept 360 without DC.
*
DC for ocbc not compulsory. Banker told me that you can have saving account, but no dc also can. Just withdrawal need do via online or at counter.

For my ocbc360 i dont have the dc also. hv previous dc for conventional saving acc. If have cc, can opt to not have dc at all and still able to fulfill the spending criteria. no problem.
