Yes i can on local servers, but not oversea's. Are you using same Dlink 850 router like ours?. Is this anything got to do with routers or just setting?

I have spoken to Yeap earlier and he has help me to reset with Time. But as Yeap explained earlier i have to speed test with cable first to get the real picture of my speed. I will get it soonest possible before reverting back to you guys icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway @yeapch01 my latest speedtest don't show any improvement

You just got the infamous Dlink router glitch, you need to factory reset the router in order get back the normal speed.

As reported here and here.

Factory reset guide.

Make sure you know your PPPoE username and password first before proceeding.
You did the test using LAN cable (cat5e/cat6 cable) or via WiFi?

Can you get full 100Mbps on local server?

Thanks for the info. Will do it later.

Just ported to TIME 300 mpbs yesterday, stupidly forgot my device capability cant reach full speed.

So here is the questions, will it solve if i got the DLink DWA-182 adapter?

The router is the DIR-850L

If you want to enjoy the full speed, you have to use Ethernet.

That's the truth of wireless even you have really fast router and adapter. The throughput drop significantly after a certain distance.

Hmm, out of my curiosity, why won't you use an ethernet cable if the router is just beside you (or your face as mentioned laugh.gif )?

I can see many people don't want to use cable either because it is ugly or router is too far away from their PC, so they got no choice but to go wireless, so this isn't applied to your case I suppose (router is very near and cable can be easily managed since it is short)?

Ethernet cable is cheap too, you don't have to spend few hundred bucks to get a WiFi USB adapter whose speed is not guaranteed.

Hmm okay, you never mention it is your LAN port limitation in your first post so I thought it was WiFi card.

So your laptop only comes with 100Mbps LAN port, I guess the USB port is also 2.0 only, I am not sure if USB 2.0 will bottleneck the speed or not since the native USB interface on AC WiFi card is USB 3.0 hmm.gif

I will prefer 100Mbit Ethernet over wireless anytime.

Wired is stable and consistent. Wireless is not, I expect around 100+ even if it is beside for a USB wireless adapter

I have Asus PCE-AC68, tested it and only able to get this result.

There are 2 thick walls in between this WiFi card and router (Asus RT-AC3200), speed will go up when I get closer to the router.

Since you said your router is very close to you then I guess it should do the trick thumbsup.gif

Hey guys, just a reliability check here.
How do you guys find the internet quality of Time?
Compare to Maxis and TM?
I certainly wish to support TIME to disallow TM monopolizing the market. That's all. I don't need crazy speed but I do wish for low latency.

Back at my hometown wired allright. But here in the city, im more mobile and i move a lot even in bed sweat.gif . No doubt consistency on wired > wireless.
