hi jjj2, means currently we yet to utilize this route. How about in future? Will all Time user be using this route?
*
Hi Bro,

Since it has just been used for couple of days..the current International traffic to US might be still resides on existing Unity cable...
We have no idea when exactly the traffic is going to be diverse via this new route where it's capable of carrying amazingly 60Tb/s of data with the digital coherent 100Gb/s technology.

Several speedtests have been performed by my team, we managed to get latency of 160-190ms & DL 7x -- 13xMbps & UL 4x -- 6x Mbps on a standard 300Mbps line.

More routing tests will be performed, will keep you all posted.

Thanks.

Which fibre cable they change ? The one that pulled into your house ? Or the prelay patch cord ?

Hi guys,

Not sure whether this has been raised before, but I just installed the Time broadband and everything was going well until I bought the Samsung Smart LED TV. The TV wouldn't connect automatically like other devices and you have to change the DNS setting to something like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

And then I realised that the connection became unstable whenever the TV connects to the broadband which never happened before the TV came around. I'm quite sure its the TV problem but do you guys experience this before?
*
Yes some TV requires you to set in DNS setting.

Alternatively, if your Router has this Google DNS set in, and assuming the Router capable of functioning as DNS Resolver/Proxy with IP 192.168.1.1, then you can set 192.168.1.1 as DNS into your TV as well, your Router will perform its resolver job.

Thanks.

You have me sold...

Next week I am moving to a new condo in KLCC. From the TIME website it is supported for fibre. What are the installation wait times like? I see complaints online about waits of a month+..how fast can we have it organized?
For the 1 month free subscription, is that just for the 500 Mbps plan? Im looking at the 100 Mbps.

Finally..for the device limit (six devices I think for the 100 Mbps?), so if I have guests, some may not be able to connect to the wifi? Is this controlled from the router? if so should be able to remove..
*
Installation lead time from the submission date is 7 to 10 days... .

1 Month Free promo is applicable to all FTTH packages...

The number of devices that a 100Mbps line can cope with will very much depending on the type of applications these devices are used for.

There is no limitation on number of devices on a particular line.
Common sense, the more devices, the lower bandwidth each device will get to use.

Thanks.

I'm experiencing speed disruption since past 2 weeks.

The speed is not consistent, sometimes it can be fast sometimes it takes ages to load even FB page.

Did a speed test and found out this.

It only happened in between 8pm-9pm
*
Hi Bro,

As usual narrow down to the root cause by eliminating the wireless factor, test with cable to Router --> <still same?> if so, bypassing the router by performing direct ONU test --> <still same?> check fibre RX reading.

If you are alrdy very sure it only happens between 8-9pm everyday... and after this hour, it will be back to normal...test using cable to your router...

* Pls perform speedtest via several servers and take a mean.

Buzz me via whatsapp or sms or email or phone... wil guide you in more details.

Hi,

If you have already made sure that the fibre connector is seated properly, and the cable in your house is untouched, please make a report to TIME CS @ 1800 18 1818.

Let the Technician come over to rectify the problem.

Thanks.

Nmm...I don't know why did they charge you... but our team never charge customer like this way.

Quick question.  When I am hear the router and such, speeds were ok, up to 90mbps  on my android phones and tablet. However,  in the adjoining  bedroom, speeds  suffer and drops to between  3-5 mbps. I have the 100 mbps  plan

How can I  speed this up? Was the wall in between the sore point? Thanks
*
Most probably, the structure & wall material is one of main factor.

Try re-positioning the Router. Test to connect to the 2.4GHz band...Alternatively you may need a repeater or worse get a new more powerful Router.

A survey to your unit is required to propose a more accurate solution.

Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. I hv heard about the repeater. Next best option is  probably to re-position the router. They gave an extra  few feet of cable
