Hi Bro,

I won't touch on package wise as it has not been officially announced.

Technologically wise this is definitely NOT the maximum speed, it depends on the Standards that PON technology is heading towards.

Hi, estimated how big is the area you wish to cover ? And what's your budget ?

Around +-RM500, covering 1200--1600 sq ft. you may go for the followings routers :

Asus RT-AC1300UHP
TP-Link Archer C7/AC1750
TP-Link Archer C9/AC1900
TP-Link Archer C2300
TP-Link Deco M5 (2 Unit)
Mi Router Pro
Tenda AC18

Login to your Tplink Router, click on the top Advanced tab.
Click on Network tab on the left pane, choose Internet, under IPv4, click the Advanced arrow to expand the settings section, scroll to the bottom, look for DNS Address, and set in your preferred DNS.

NOTE : If you want to change to Google DNS, you can avoid doing it as the new DNS settings already preset with it.

Hi,

You are not using the standard way of connection. Please follow the followings diagram :

Incoming 2C Drop Cable (Fibre cable) ---> (SC Fiber Port) -- HG8240H -- (LAN1) ---> (WAN/Internet) D-Link DIR850L router.

* remove Huawei HG850A.
* login to Dlink DIR850L router, check your firmware version, try upgrade via https://www.time.com.my/checkmyrouter/ . If it fails, then contact 1800 18 1818 to get the latest firmware.

Technically yes you can...but policy/arrangement wise for standard installation, you can't.

And provider will not entertain such request.

Its HW Rev. 1.0 Build 20180502 rel.45702 (Custom Firmware).

If it does not come with the above version, you can always update it using the link https://www.time.com.my/updatemytplink/

Anyway it's still suffering connection drop with globe indicator turned orange once a while.

My colleague will attend to you for the 'installation'.
