QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Aug 18 2007, 02:06 AM) Memtest would run a few passes on Test 5 perfectly, then suddenly thousands of errors will pop up. Haven't experienced this problem before, and I can't even get into Windows without BSODs. Anyone had this particular problem before? Maybe add bit more voltage or try loosen the ram timing? If not try clear the CMOS and OC back to the desire speed and Memtest it again. I usually do that juz in case i mess up with the settings.

Cos on the device describtion i get this : But then the GPU properties i got this : So... which core my GC is using? i dun wanna dismantle the HSF This post has been edited by ac_N1: Aug 19 2007, 11:18 AM

The only way to identify ur GC core is take off the heatsink and look at the chip. As for my case, the windows detected my 9800PRO with R350 core but actually on the pbc board my card is using R360 core. So, there is no way to identify actually what core ur using with software unless u take physically move by take off the heatsink and look at it.

i think 360 is for 98xt. hmm......the most comfirm way is take off the heatsink and check the label on the gpu. but does it really matter?? if it is 9800xt core then its possible to flash it to 9800xt. Ofcoz have to make sure your gc can run at 98xt speed.

Yea. The is two batch of 98PRO card, first batch is using the R350 core and the later batch is using R360. As if the card is using R360 core, and have the thermal sensor chip then is possible to soft mod it into xt care. Search over the net then u will find the article tells about this card and how to mod it.

QUOTE(ac_N1 @ Aug 19 2007, 02:03 PM) Hehe.. I was owning a R360 and moddable 9800Pro now. Plan to mod it into xt. Do check this before u do any modding task. And must change ur hsf as well. Im on my way to mod an old AMD scoket A heatsink into my gc heatsink. By then, try OC ur gc til xt speed and run benchmark see is there any artifact on ur card when running on xt speed. If there dun have any artifacts means ur card is able to corp at that speed.

I think the motherboard is limiting me, running with dividers also gives me the same problems.

Trade back ya s478 system ba! S478 far more rock then LG775 eh! Btw guys, wandering a question. I prime my system for more then 36 hrs and 1 error found. Is that means my system wasnt stable? Was using the latest version of ORthros, running at pariority 9 stress RAM and CPU. This what i get from the log. Does my system stable? FATAL ERROR: Final result was 418CB13B, expected: 248EF622. Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. Torture Test ran 36 hours, 57 minutes 51 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings. Execution halted. P/s: I just found that my ram cant be tighten up anymore. Restart several time when i tried to tighten the time from 2.5-4-4-8 to 2.5-4-4-6. Guess gota leave it stay at the loosen timing.
