In actual fact the sub multi sim will copy all the ability of the main multi sim. I only have one main and one sub. Main with the maxis postpaid plan. Therefore my sub sim also is able to call, sms, etc. But you have to make sure which sim is set as the primary ones to receive calls, sms, etc.

AskarPerang, do you need to pay the initial RM15 + RM10(plan for sub sim) ?? Or just mere RM15?

Hi guys,

I'm currently using the maxis 3g unlimited plan at kerteh, terengganu. The HSDPA signal is quite strong here.

Unfortunately, i have a problem with the modem always disconnecting. Using the N95 as a modem, it can downloads up to 120kB/s (rapidshare/hotfile), but will disconnect after 2 to 3 minutes (maybe less).

It is a modem fault or the network itself? If the network, may have to change to change service (using it for a week now), but if modem, may get a new modem.

Any help, or if other share the same experience?

Well, nobody force you to buy a modem.

I don't think its your phone fault. Please, for the love of god, continue using it.

It's not true. I'm using my phone as modem and the signal and coverage is better. And disconnection is not that frequent too.

For the fun of messing with choices.

I have use both of my phone and modem to connect to the internet thru Maxis 3G.

Both have had same amount of disconnection, same speed and even same spam sms.

Thanks.

No wonder lah. The ZTE MF622 is obsolete already bro. The newest modem that we're using is the ZTE B932.

I thought my connection was crappy too until I saw the B932 in Maxis Centre, they said they could change my old MF622 with a new B932, and here I am now enjoying rare disconnections. nod.gif

Well, it's worth RM300 and I guess it's the best modem out there.

I faced frequent disconnection and and data spike(suddenly no data transfer). But this is easily solved by reconnecting. I think this is maxis's problem, not the modem. As my other modem faces this too.

I'm using k3565, e160, mf600

I get that too, but not as frequent. Usually from 8-9pm onwards till 12am+ (both weekdays and weekends) I'll start suffering from that.
