I bought this se since launch date, so far so good too.

Only complaint is the storage size, given the better quality of the camera and 4k video recording, 64gb storage is really too small.

For next iPhone 8, I will certainly go for 256gb version.

The current iphone 7 and 7 plus already come with 356gb options.

Even expensive also need to get 256gb no choice. Else really not enough storage for photos or videos.

256gb alone is double my lappy SSD storage. And that huge storage might trouble you when it come to unmanaged photos and videos.
few k of photos under whatsapp folder for me alone trouble like hell to manage. biggrin.gif

managed is not a prob because I dun manage at all. Just my concern is when in overseas Travelling I want to take photos and videos at the best resolution without the need to delete files or purposely to consciously save space by not taking too much photos.

The only prob I can foresee is the problem of backing the entire phone on my laptop.

One reason I go for higher storage of laptop (512gb and above) is to backup the iphone.

You're taking 4K photos meh?
You take 1000 photos±videos, store 4000 songs, install 150 apps onto your phone, they don't even occupy half of your 128GB iPhone...

there is not even such things as 4k photo in iphone in the first. why won't it have such confusion between 4k photos or videos?

when travelling to places like europe that are full of nice scenaries, taking 4k videos are very common thing to do. if to store all these things on phone itself, 128gb storage is also nothing.

I brought my ip6+ 64gb to a recent Sri Lanka holliday, and halfway on the 3rd day already have problems with too many videos.

Moral of the story, the more storage is good but it not necessary.

To be frank, I don't like taking video.
It would be much better if you just take photos only, leaving the memories in your brain...
To me, the only sweet moment of life is to able to recall your past.
The moment I see a picture of me, I'll be excited telling ppl where was the picture taken, when was it taken, how I come to the place in the picture, who took the picture for me, etc. I have a lot of stories to tell just based on one photo. And perhaps there is something that I wouldn't tell, leaving that as a mystery. But if I took everything as a video, there is no reserve.
Besides, taking everything in video makes you lazy to store your memories into your brain.
Sometimes when you replay the videos, you may not even remember when did you take them.
Of course this could be my own preference. Perhaps you may have your own reason to take videos

Yes I agree too. A photo tells a thousand words. A video is final.

I used to love taking videos but after live photos. no more! static pic, with few secs of those moments! everytime i see the pic, i always recalled how i fell in love with my fiancee, and how much i love her. every damn time. hahahah.

turns out, i see photos a lot more than the videos i took. so live photos are a win-win.

Sifu sifu.. what is the difference between imported set vs malaysia set. I am seeing so many different versions of iPhone SE online. I plan to COD with seller though. Apart from Apple ID lock? How to see whether it is malaysia or imported set?

No one will ever take everything using video. Photos and videos are all taken different purpose. That's why the reason of mixing both and not just stick to either one.

The reasons are too extreme to be applicable for all.

Taking videos traditionally is to make a documentary or some stories e.g. movie or drama etc.
For home users, the only reason to take a video is when you feel a certain action is exciting or worth to be recorded.
Unless you are making profit by taking videos, or gaining popularity from others, otherwise I see no more reason to take a video.
Taking video for scenery? Perhaps you are taking a video on how a bird can fly, but oh please, just get a real digital camera or video camera.
