Hmm, still unsure if I should buy this or wait for iPhone 7.

I prefer a bigger (but not too big) screen, but I also got an iPad air which I bring along whenever I travel.

why didn't they produce iPhone SE with 4.5" instead?

I don't have a SE. Still rockin a 6 (4.7"). I'm tempted to get a SE for myself though. Bought one for my mom and played with it a bit, also play with my gf's set sometimes, and must admit I really miss the form factor. Only thing that bugs me is how the status bar looks on the lockscreen. You know how the fonts for the status bar are bigger in the lock screen compared to the home screen? Well, if your telco name is a long one, like CELCOM for example, or Starhub in my case (I live in SIngapore), you'll practically have the left part touching the clock in the center. I don't remember past iOS 7 to be like this back when I was using the iPhone 5, so maybe the larger text on the lock screen is an iOS 8 or iOS 9 thing, or maybe my memory is just bad. It's not a deal-breaker, but just annoying from an aesthetic perspective.

Really? You mean it's not like this? See the text size on the top bar? This is taken on my iPhone 6, but it's also the same case on my gf's SE, only it's more closer together due to the smaller screen.

Like I said, that screenshot was taken on my 6, which has a wider screen. On my gf's SE (she's not here now so can't post her screenshot), due to the carrier name which is 7 letters long - "Starhub", our Singapore carrier name - the left portion's wifi or 4G icon is practically touching the center pull down tab. Also found one review just now where the reviewer is having it even worse; http://9to5mac.com/2016/04/11/review-iphone-se/img_0294/. Like I said, there's no functionality issue. It's just plain ugly and annoying.

I'm actually at crossroads like many here, whether it's worth to get a 5SE or straight get a 6S. My Ip4 is getting very slow lately and it's irritating.

My thought is like this, if i pay Rm3.6k for 6S, can it stand another 5 years? My Ip4 is 5.5 years now and it's working fine except it's lagging.

If i get 5SE for Rm2.6k, sounds more valuable unless Machines comes back with the Rm500 discount.

Iphone 5S is being sold for RM1.4k now at direct d but i think it will get slow in another 1-2 years.

on the yellow tint, its the usual adhesive color that will be gone within few weeks because the manufacturing process is identical to old iphone 5s.

on brightness, are both same brightness setting with auto brightness turn on/off? fyi, if you are currently using 6s or 6s+ especially, you will notice the SE screen is dimmer as it is using the old 5S IPS LCD technology with lower contrast ratio. the difference is something like you reading an actual printed paper vs a transparent sheet placed in front of the paper.

You can change the font size to a notch bigger than the default and it would be more legible. It is good enough.

For some people it's the opposite. They set the smallest size in order to have more content on screen. I suppose each approach has it's pros and cons.
