Hi Maxis.

I am abroad now, and everytime i make a quick call home, i get automatically subscribed to the one world service and get charged the RM38.

How can i disable this feature? It is very bad to subscribe me to a service for RM38 based on a 3 minute call or an SMS.

I did not even get the change to activate this feature, or a confirmation sms to use the one world service.
The only SMS i got was that Maxis is activated One World feature for me and charged me RM38.

Log into maxis and disable your international roaming. There is a feature there. Can use VOIP to call. Nowadays, just use whatsapp/skype/viber etcetc

Not quite sure about that to be honest as I usually leave my roaming on. Maybe try informing your bank of your destination? I find that works.

Thats a bad solution. If the option was there via the mymaxis app it would be better.
Imagine your phone is off and your bank tries to call you for cc verification? Youre payment won't go through or worst the retail outlet will identify you as credit card fraudster.

Cannot win everything I guess. :S Best to get clarification directly from Maxis? With regards to call for cc verification, I find informing the bank of your destination(s) ensures none of that happens.

That's a good point.

Anyway, roaming usages are costly so I do appreciate the safety that it's max RM 38 per day.

Unfortunately that was not what i experienced.

It ended up being a rm38 Charge for a 15 second call when i got confirmation from their support that i will only be charged if a phone call reaches 3 minutes.

On a even spectacular note. I got charged rm28 for sending an sms..

Went to maxis to see what could be done and their premier customer service straight up said NO and told me that bill cannot be negotiated. Whats printed in my bill is final.

Thats it im done with thIs fuckup

Imagine a rm800 bill just for this shit. My normal bill was just rm280 per month.

It's as per this FAQ then?

How do I subscribe to MaxisONE World pass?

There is no subscription required. When you are abroad with your MaxisONE plan, any calls (received or made), any SMS sent, any data used (via webpages, apps, and all other platforms) will automatically kick start your MaxisONE World pass.

That's bad. When I'm overseas, I send a RM0.50 SMS to tell family I'm safe. This auto subscription will kick a RM38 charge? wow... just wow.

actual event was i called the maxis support for some issue. then i got a RM10 charge. No problem for me.
Then i got their service feedback sms, which specified that there will not be any charges. I replied that 1 sms, and according to my bill that sms turned into a pricey one.

I got charged RM10 for receiving a 54 second call when I was in SG. Normal roaming rate should be RM1.75/min for receiving calls in SG if it weren't for this stupid one world shit. I've since filed a complaint with CFM about this.

Last month they charged me for receiving voice mail amounting to 70RM++

Call them and ask them to waive it. When you call their CS, ask them to connect to you Roaming department

Wow, surely that's not right, RM 38 should be RM 38.

My experience to Singapore last month was OK. RM 38 per day, no more and unfortunately no less. I just switch on and use data like how I would in Malaysia. Maybe you should try that, just use and it's only RM 38. Penalty if you dont use enough!!! Hahaha.....
