Emerging markets offer better outlook in 2H: HSBC
QUOTE
Investors should focus on emerging markets as the global economy continues to head into an uncertain environment in the second half of the year.

Emerging markets offer “compelling” profit margins and valuations in this low-growth, low-yield environment, says Fan Cheuk Wan, head of investment strategy for Asia at HSBC Private Bank, during a press briefing on Thursday.

China’s infrastructure and property sectors are particularly appealing, said Fan, as the government’s 13th Five-Year Plan targets industries such as IT, healthcare and new energy.

Real-estate companies and selective Chinese banks will also “benefit from the fiscal and monetary stimulus,” says Fan.

Companies that cater to consumers in the Asian emerging markets would also provide investment opportunities, says Herald van der Linde, head of Asia-Pacific equity strategy.

when in losses, we all hide the failure.

I guess most of the gains we are seeing at the moment is due to RM depreciating? Went from 4 to 4.15 pretty quick.
Is anyone apprehensive of RM bouncing back a little??
Also going forward, we have the Brexit vote and Fed meeting happening this month. Lots of volatility going forward? What is everyone strategy? As much as I would like to sell and sit back for a while, the cost of paying 2% SC again is making me think what is the best thing to do.
What are your thoughts guys?
