Been with maxis for more than 10 years, from prepaid to postpaid to one plan 128. Been thinking to port out since U mobile start the war with HERO plan RM70 get 7GB.
But worried about Umobile coverage so I hold it, then Digi and Celcom join the war with their own plan, giving unlimited calls and more data with cheaper price. Then stumble upon this thread, really cant brain why maxis treating their customer like this   so i decided to port out.

I cancel my contract last Thursday via maxis chat and when they ask why want to cancel, i said i want to port out. And purposely wait till yesterday to see if anyone from maxis will call and offer me new package. Not that i wanted the new package but just want to see how their reaction when a customer cancel their contract and mentioned of porting out.

So yesterday since no one from maxis call me, i decided to port in to Celcom and took their RM80 gold plan, and this morning someone from maxis call me to offer new package. First he offer me RM68 and will get 5GB unlimited call but i rejected. Then he said can give me more data, so he offer me RM88 8GB unlimited call, also I rejected it. He ask why? I said i get better offer from Celcom with RM80 gold plan. Then he start condemn Celcom saying even thou Celcom give more data but their 4G speed is slower than maxis blablabla, I just stop him and said I already frustrated with maxis and already decided to port out,so no thanks.

So I hope if anyone intend to port out and get a counter offer from maxis, just reject it. This is to teach maxis a lesson so they will realize that we customer are not stupid and we can make our choice if we are not happy with them.

What's in the 78 plan?

It's pretty clear from the reports posted above by Maxis customers that those who ported out gets RM68 and those who remain loyal gets RM78.

I received a few missed calls from 123 yesterday. maybe maxis calling me back on the $78 offer.

So glad to hear the good news about Maxis plans since I cant move to Celcom or Digi and U mobile I cant trust.

Cant wait for them to come out with the new plans.

maxshit just called and the offer was RM98 with 5gb & unlimited calls

when asked about RM68 promo, he said only for east malaysia customers. well in that case why not maxshit just move over there and stop operating here since they do not appreciate your customers in the west.

i more sad with maxshit, offered me rm128 with rm10 rebate, so total rm118 for 7gb...

yah me still under package but i rather pay penalty than continue with MAXIS

Maxis no longer behave like a big corporation, they are more like a Petaling Street vendors now, call you back and give you the last price only if you turn around and walk away.

Instead of upgrade, can do a downgrade to a cheaper package?

logged on to maxis online. lambasted the online CS. They filed a case to look into. And i also told them if i dont get anything, I'm gonna port out soon too. Gotta incur penalty RM562 but i willing to pay. Im paying 100 more compared to the 68bucks 5gb plan. What fak is this la.

On top of that im using maxis since 2002 la.. and also Maxis One Club member. if they think they can fleece me, they are wrong.

Well, think about how many customers they have to call and evaluate/calculate for whatever plans they want to offer based on their usage, all i know is that whatever plan they are offering is actually based on your monthly average usage.
For my case, i am on Surfmore 75, my monthly bill is about 100-+, so they offer me RM118, and i do see some get the same plan at cheaper rate (RM98 or RM88), so maybe their monthly usage is lower that what they offered to them in average?

And i did not port out for them to offer me this, they called me. So maybe it's your turn soon, or just call in and asked to speak to the marketing dept.
