thanks bro. but i've been doing that too, even after car wash (using ph neutral shampoo), and if it rains that.. the first few mins, wiper is fine.. but if heavy rain for prolong period of time, then it will start judder...
*
From my experience..

Any application [ anything - including waxing or rain x derivatives ] will cause juddering of the wipers.. wipers work best when glass is clean from all this..

I

Personally think the ori wipers are best if you only keep the screen clean - you can clean the gunk off with thinner and then use a glass cleaner after that..

Hi guys after reading through this thread, there are many diff types products out there.
And everyone seem to have their own preference / method.

I have a 4 yrs old white car, and 2 silver methalic (wife & parents)
due to not taking good care of my white car, there are now stain on the bonnet which is difficult to remove. see picture below
there are also water mark on wind screen & windows. although i apply Rain X after wash, the water mark is visible.

What i want to try achieve
1) weekly wash
2) remove stain from the bonnet
3) remove water mark from wind screen (possible?)
4) apply wax / sealant for protection

any suggestions would be great & appreciated.

Our methods may vary but the fundamentals are of the same. Basically practice 2 bucket with grit guard wash to prevent as little swirls as possible.

Removing stain from the bonnet can be done easily with light polish based on your pic. White car...memang like that. stains and dirts are easily noticeable.

Rainx does not remove watermark. It merely lay a hydrophobic layer to repel water.
You will need to polish it. you can either find a dedicated window polisher (cerium oxide based) or whack with meguairs ultimate compound.

Just because there is 1 post saying it will judder, immediately you can conclude that it will judder.
What about others who has been using it and working fine, and no judders?

Do you ever wonder what is the real cause of juddering? Is it the surface or the wipers, or something else?

Rubber degrades faster if its often exposed to sun.. ie parking in open car park under hot sun. If thats your scenario, then i would say going the silicon route might be better.

As a reference, i've covered car park at home and office and clean my wiper n screen often. My rubber wiper lasts over a year without noticeable degradation.

As others mentioned.. it also depends on your windscreen surface. If it is smooth and free from contaminants, i think it is likely to judder less.

Suggest browsing the earlier posts.. quite a few people were gracious enough to share.

On coating..my non user experience is i see it as akin to adding another more durable layer of clear coat, albeit a very thin one. If you got the money to spare then by all means. But don't assume no maintenance is needed. Water marks will form eventually if one doesnt put a sacrificial layer between that and the elements... ie. Wax or similar.

It might not look nice if you just respray that area.
Depends on you.
I resprayed a whole back bumper awhile back for less than rm200.
