QUOTE(vincent09 @ Apr 21 2018, 04:25 PM) Newbie question ~ Use the liquid type one. Lap lap hilang. If newly notice watermark on body paint with coated, what thing can deal with it ? It seem not suggest for clay bar or polish ( although I still no experience on polishing ). I got see those product say watermark remover like from Meguiar, but not sure is it good or bad, seem like apply whole car is look like very hardcore .... And wash your car more often to avoid it from etching. |

QUOTE(blurcase @ Apr 21 2018, 11:16 PM) Well, to be honest its not that I dont want to suggest DIY methods, but generally I believe detailing shops that offer coating will have solutions or maintenance packages as part of their offer, especially if u went to those reputable ones. I disagree with you on compatibility. Come out minum I tell you why muhahahahaBefore I provide this suggestion, I must say first that I have not tried the products I'm about to mention before. I only know of this method from reading in other forums as well as watching youtube. So u should do your own research and not take my suggestion bulat-bulat also. I have read/seen somewhere that u can use Carpro Spotless to carefully remove watermarks without damaging the coating. However, this comment was based on removing watermarks from a car coated with Cquartz coating products. Also, as part of the sacrificial layer to the Cquartz coating, they apply Carpro Reload sealant on top of it. On top of that, they also recommend using Carpro Reset for the regular car wash regime to maintain the Cquartz coating. If u are interested in getting some of the products that I have mentioned, this is the local distributor (recommended to call as there are some Carpro products they carry but dont put on the website): http://cquartz.com.my/ Again, I wish to say what I have suggested I myself have not tried, I only read/saw it from somewhere else. So my suggestion if u are still keen on DIY is to do more research into coating cleaning and maintenance products and see what makes sense for u. There will always be an unknown risk of some of these products not compatible with your coating, just so u are aware. |

I have theories on why wipers judder on certain cars.
I've been using both rainx and osren 04 coating. Tak judder. Theory 1: length between rubber/silicone edge of wiper blade and wiper frame. It has been observed and noticed that the farther the wiper blade is from the frame, it is likely to judder. Longer = softer. Like how you leave most part of the ruler out from the table it will bounce more, and vice versa. More ruler on the surface of table, less bouncy the ruler is. Theory 2: Slickness of coating. Related to theory 1 as well. If it is the right amount of slickness/squeakiness, longer wiper blades will tend to judder. After a few washes, I noticed wipers that tend to judder will unlikely to judder as the coating slickness is gone. Now I need to put these test to action. Mau blog ke video? |

QUOTE(mcc94 @ Apr 27 2018, 12:33 PM) Hi guys, I send my car to car wash shop once every week. But sometime if rain frequently, some dirt will be there even after wash. When I ask the boss, the boss tell me they didn't use any extra thing to wash. So it is normal, unless I do wex or polish. He even suggested me to do cloating , but I don’t have that budget. Is that real ? My car is white by the way. Do you guys have any product recommended to remove the dirt ? I don't mind to clean it myself after wash. Hold your horse.Shampoos are formulated to encapsulate dirt and for lubrication, not so much on expunging tough stains and grimes. Which is why black stains will appear and more noticeable on lighter color cars. I blame it on our weather. A safe way is to use cleaner wax and wash it regularly thereafter. But if you do not have the budget for it, there is a simple way of doing it yourself. Just use cleaner wax by hand. No elbow grease is needed. The proper way and effective way of doing it will soon be revealed. It has to do with cleaning the cervices and inner rubber parts too. |

QUOTE(jyane @ Apr 29 2018, 06:12 PM) Hi sifus, is it worth it to get reload car pro instead of 1 spray wax + every 3 month wax using paste wax? Car pro = ease of use. Actual wax - paste wax / liquid wax actually leaves a layer of lipids. Which I personally feel Lagi best. But lazy People like me prefer spray wax |

Chemical resistance can be vague.
There are specific chemical that you want to look at. Alkaline and acid. However for acid based products, usually not meant for spraying. Most of the time detailing solutions are alkaline. Acid is way more corrosive than alkaline |

QUOTE(blurcase @ Apr 30 2018, 10:35 PM) Agree, as far as I know of detailing products, its only the alkaline and acid based chemicals that need to worry about. Most common of the alkaline/acid cleaners are usually the strong degreasers, wheel cleaners, and to some extent the watermark removal chemicals. Mine is ipa, fabric cleaner, brake dust cleaner, windows cleaner, degreaser, multi cleaner, onr, car shampoo. In my arsenal of spray bottles, I have Carpro PERL, ONR, Meguiars Last Touch, 1:1 diluted IPA, all no issues. Only one that killed my sprayer head is the Cartec Wheel Cleaner which is alkaline based. One more for ironing shirt. H2o |
