What should i use to lubricate when applying clay?? spray wax or car shampoo?
*
For claying, car shampoo is good enough.

QUOTE(hyuanl @ Feb 23 2017, 04:41 PM)
And Guys, should i wipe my car after heavy raining?? Its raining heavily now in KL?

i read on internet that shouldn't wipe it as dirt from rain drops covering the car will cause minor scratches...
*
Best is to wipe after u dose off the rain water with pipe water. Cleaner and less chances to incur scratches. And yes, rain waters are contaminated so i would advice against wiping it off without prior dosing with pipe water.

No wiping.
Wash it with regular shampoo.

If you have waxed, take it for a spin so the water doesn't bead and cause water spots.

The cost effective way is to use car shampoo as clay lubricant.
However, if possible, try to avoid this as car shampoo might breakup or dissolve the claybar. I have experienced that. BUT, not necessarily it will happen for all the claybar and car shampoo combination. Have to go through trial and error biggrin.gif

Anyway, to make it simple, get claybar (eg:soft99, osren, meguiars, 3m(many counterfeit 3m products in the market thou)) + car shampoo when going through the paint surface. Go gently over the surface and let the claybar does it job to pick up the contaminants on the paint surface. If you working on an old car, you will be surprised how much invisible dirts you can pick up through claybar!

You want less headache in selecting products or to be cost effective, head over to Osren HQ @Kepong. Ask Henry for suggestion, he will guide you what you should need to kick off take care / detailing your car.

Or if you are hardworking to do some reading and not hesitate to opt for well known / branded / proven products, digs more on the internet and you'll find yourself some good offer.

And as what Windskill said, please clay before you proceed to apply sealant / wax. Touch and feel the paint before and after, you'll appreciate why you are spending time do the clay.. cheers bro. Happy Cleaning and detail your ride..

Quoting from detailing gurus, claying technically removes everything (except glass coating and clear bra films). So u can safely change to wax after claying.

Perhaps you may try to contact meguiar's direct:
https://m.facebook.com/meguiardirect.my
or
http://meguiarsdirect.com.my/

Personally I prefer its "Professional Detailer Series" and "Mirror Glaze Series" of products only.
Its professional detailer series offers bang for the buck.

Haven't heard from you for a long time hehe!

Actually easy coat is similar to hydro2. (Water activated)
Ultimate wax coating is similar to reload. (Heat activated)

Fireballs is on the less costly side.

OIC. I guess that's why reload felt oilier and easy coat doesn't.
