hi there ppl.
heads up on the guild development. Our hardworking officers have reach to a consensus and agree with the following new and updated 'definitions' of the guild. as you all know, we are a casual/progressive guild and previously we had some trouble defining what casuals/progressive is all about. we already have solve the problem by categorizing members into the following:- casual peon casual raiders elite raiders. the members categorization and classifications have save us from a lot of trouble, thank for the ideas given by the members here in LYN. anyway, we have identify a new problem where ppl is still being denied into the guild due to class overload problem and at the same time we are still unsure who is casual peon and who wants to be in raid. as officer rantic put it in his words. ....The officers understand that not everyone will want/have time to raid, but we also don't know who WANTS (and put in the necessary commitment) to raid. Hence, Shader's post to ask you to apply for a raid spot (spots are very, very limited). We will only be taking a max of 50+ people into the raiding team, and there will be class restrictions, ~5 people per class. But the team will obviously change over time; people come and go in WoW all the time, and some people who may be part of the raiding team in the beginning may drop out later due to inability to attend the raids. When new raid spots open up, it is the natural thing to do to promote our Peons (who have shown an interest and ability to raid) to a raiding spot. Or to take Peons who don't really want to raid, but happen to be online at the time, and are able to spend a few hours with the raid to help us out fill out the numbers. based on the above situations, we conclude that we are going to do 2 things 1) open back application to any class to role in our guild. so no more restriction on this one. For those who wanted to apply in our guild, you can do so now without any restrictions. 2) restriction for raids slot. 50+ slot is open for grab! and promotions to raid slot is also available. so i hope this will clear some confusion between casual members and raiding members. thank you. We wont start raiding until level 70. Ergo, we won't be forming the raid team until a good number of us are level 70.
It goes to reason, that applications to the raiding team require a lvl 70 toon, however making your intentions known early will certainly be a great help to allow the officers do their resource planning. As you can see we already have a good group of players in the lvl 50+ zone, from here to 70 will take no more than 2 months for this group of players. http://wow.idvisdesign.com/roster/indexstat.php They will make up the initial raiding group with Karazhan first on the hitlist. Lets be honest, to break into this group, you'll need to fulfill some of the following characteristics: 1. Have a lvl60+ toon to transfer over. 2. Be a healer class If you are rolling new, unless you can powerlevel your toon to 70 in the 2 months from now till we start raiding, you will be put into the queue for a raid spot. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just means that your raid options will be limited temporarily. We are also exploring the option of setting up a second raid team, but the logistics of this option still need a bit of work before it becomes viable. Added on March 5, 2007, 9:21 amAs an edit, we've got a great bunch of people in the guild... some hilarious, wacky players. Some really experienced players who have proven their talent and ability, and a couple of oddballs that just make Azeroth a much brighter place to play in. LoTH has been lucky and blessed, so far. Thanks to all who have contributed to make this happen. This post has been edited by Tentris: Mar 5 2007, 09:21 AM |

It took quite a bit of serious discussion before we could come to this decision, a lot of pros and cons to consider. Sorry about your friend, however, if he wants to join us still, he is welcomed.
All raid class restrictions and everything else i've said above still applies. |

QUOTE(nitrofang @ Mar 5 2007, 08:40 PM) How about a casual peon UD priest? Thinking of trying out PvP content but on a casual basis to pass time or when fedup.Plus, to get that awesome siggy. Very pretty. BTW, how are BE race so far? WIth their Mana Drain/Burn thing, are they strong PvP races for the various classes? |

Nah BE biasa aje. That mana burn thing isn't that cool anyways, too little mana gained to make it truly useful.
WOTF is still the undisputed all-around best racial talent in the game. Coming close runner-ups is Orc 15% stun resist (this is godly) and Tauren warstomp (omgbbqwtfpwned!!1!1!!) |

Mana tap thing isn't that useful pvp wise, it's OK for pve but I think that AOE silence is pretty cool. Silence= interrupt spell casting which is ALWAYS good. For rogues, it's another skill added to their stun locking skills. Against mage though, probably not that useful as you'll have to be pretty close to them to be able to silence them.
