THIS WILL BE YOUR PRIMARY OPPORTUNITY FOR REROLLS AND COMEBACKS!

Section 1 -

Who Are We?

We are Laggers Of The Horde. We are a guild from Malaysia and Asia Pacific region established on the release of The Burning Crusade. It is an opportunity for rerolls and comebacks to the World of Warcraft. LoTH is a casual, progresive, long term initiatives to take the challenge of Azeroth. Unlike other casuals, we strive to be progressive at the same time. High end Raids and group PVP will definitely be in our goal list and long term guild strategy. But unlike those hardcore and elite wow players who speak wow gibberish most of the time and do 60 in 2 weeks, we play for the fun of it. We don't do countless hours of raids and force you to commit certain hours of your precious time for it. We believe in enjoying the game at our own pace while helping each other and most importantly, building a friendly and lovely community amongst ourselves. If u feel that u are NOT a wow elites, join our ranks now and be part of stress free environment!

Our guild comprises of Malaysians from various backgrounds. But we welcome everyone including from other countries into our guild. Most of us are working individuals or students who don't have much time to play, but at the same time, we too want to experience in high end instances and end game content. LoTH is here to cater all those needs. Some of us may have been into a hardcore guild, including myself. But we feel that there is too much heat in those type of guild so we decide to be here in LoTH where everything is peace and care.

Who Are You?

Do u feel that you are committing too much of your time on wow but you are still unable to catch up with your guild members? Have u find yourself grinding and farming alone even though you are in a 200 active player guild but just because u are unable to commit 6 hours a day and have insufficient epic equipped, you are drop from the list of raids? Do u have multiple alts cause your main 60 is jobless? Do you feel nausea, having frequent headache and bloated stomach or loss of appetite? if u are one of those, u are what we category as, a person with absolutely ..no life. We have things outside the world of Azeroth. You probably have to feed your family with real food, (not alterac cheese damn it!). u may have a full time job. u only have time for wow 4 hours a week. But you are competing with a bunch of wow fanatics that have time to spend gazillion hours of wow. You force yourself to it, but instead of enjoying the game, you get stress. But you still crave in venturing into the endless burning pit of Molten core and face the fiery dragons in Azeroth. Do not be despair. with LoTH, we can create that dream for you.

Our Target and expectations

Even though we are a casual guild, we are definitely targeting to be in end game instances as well as group PVP. But rather then killing yourself to get there, we take it slowly and enjoy the game. In other words, there will be no rushing in here. You can level to 70 at your own pace. but please don't take 1 year to be level 10. We have short term, mid term and long term goals. While we get there, we have fun! So join us now and be part of our family!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 2 - Guild Development.

So far we have already settle on:

Faction: Horde
Realm Type: Thaurissan, Oceanic PVP.
Guild Characteristics : Long term Project, Casual, Progressive and most importantly, FUN!
Guild type: occasional raid and pvp.
Time Zone: GMT+8
Guild Population. 165 Unique accounts as of 18th March 2007. Majority Malaysian but we welcome very much other countries.
Suggested Raiding times will be between 9.30 to 12. (Not compulsory)
Suitable for: Newbies, experience, Young Adult, Working ppl, pregnant lady, students, wow comebacks, and for those who can't stand the pressure and commitment in hardcore guild.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Section 4 - FAQ

I have also add an FAQ section for the benefit of our interested members. FAQ will be updated.

Q: If we are starting new, why do we need to wait until the release of BC? We can start rolling a week earlier...to get things started rite??
A - we wanted to make sure that everything when well before we even start on a establishing new guild, such as getting enough interested members. we would not want to start lacking numbers and die off prematurely. As of now, we already have enough interested members, but we would like to take it further just to make sure. we want to avoid rushing into things. beside, the net is lagging because of the quake and its useless to establish a guild and choose a server now. we might as well use that time to get things ready outside the game first.

Q: will this be a horde or alliance guild?
A: horde

Q: what type of realm will it be?
A: PVP. as of now, no server has been chosen. we choose to wait for a new oceanic server setup. we hope that it will be setup in 5 days

Q: We be starting new and fresh?
A: Yes. we will start from scratch. from level 1. bear in mind, this is a long term project and there are a lot of newbies out there. There are also lots of ppl that wants to start over. our goal is not to rush thing and we want to have a casual, progressive and FUN game.

Q: Is this guild suitable for nubs?
A: This guild will be suitable for nubs, experience, half experience, people who dont have much time. people who dont give a damn but hands still itchy to play. working adults, students, those who wants to make comebacks, etc

Q: Who is not suitable for this guild?
A: emosional people, ninjas, whiners, backstabber's, peeping toms, sex maniac, drug addicts, those with criminal records,

Q: This guild sounds hardcore.
A: There are some confusion over the status of this guild being hardcore or casuals several days back. we already have settled those issues by implementing the guild categorization systems. those systems can be viewed somewhere in this thread and section 7.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Section 5 - Recruitment.

We are still open for recruitments. Please refer section 7 or go to our website at http://www.lothguild.org for further details. To get invites into the guild, please message my officers. Valkyrie, Shaderx, Rantic, Raichu, Babynut, Notendon and Sophiera.

--------------------------------------------

Section 6 - Guild name!

Please refer to this thread and vote for your guild names!

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/397235

START VOTING FOR OUR GUILD NAMES PEEPS!

Latest development 16 Jan 2007. - We finally settle with the name LoTH. (Laggers of The Horde)

---------------------------------------------

Section 7 - Guild categorization

After receiving numerous suggestions and opinions from the communities and guild members, we have finally decide to put down guild members categorization to help us identify between members. those are

commander (guild master)
2nd in command
deputy commander
officer
elite raiders >85% raid attendance
casual raiders > 65% raid attendance
casual peon <65% raid attendance
overthrown-peon - discipline action.

with these implemented, we hope that we can organize the guild in an efficient way, while maintain our casual/progressive status. Additional to that, we can continue with our open policy of accepting new recruitment and members WITHOUT any restrictions.

yep. thats why i edited my post and put there , 'playing at your comfortable time will be fine'. sorry for the misinfo. i should not ask for commitment cause i myself is unable to commit more than 2 hours a day. will edit my post up there again.

additional info. the guild wont force the members to commit. it wont kick you out too, unless if it is severe such as name callings, racism, flaming each other, .. that kind of stuff. i was thinking of a progresive guild, but not hardcore.

i will put up with a to do list before we even proceed on establishing a guild. some sort of guidance and things to be done later.

NGF casual? I wouldn't exactly classify them as that either. Seemed to have a hardcore attitude nowadays, but this is speaking from personal opinion. whistling.gif
Former Khaz player here, still always queued there?

Nope, not raids, met them when they were doing dungeons before going to ZG and onwards. Couple of BG's besides that, and general forum stuff etc. I remember when Ryou began to start his guild, with everyone asking what NGF stood for cool.gif . Was on Khaz in it's first week until I left recently. Nice to know the queues died down as well, still have some alts there tongue.gif

Can't compare with <Time>, they were hardcore from the start on Khaz....heh. Anyway, good luck ahead, also sorry to OP for going offtopic.

Everyone's going to roll Blood elf. regardless rolling a paladin, a priest or a mage whatever. Horde's going to be overpopulated with blood elves. Then again, the Alliance players who now have full 60s wont have the heart to fully leave their mains and simply roll for a level 1 blood elf and level it all to 70.

So what im thinking is, give it some time and the blood elf population will go down after a month of release.

Well people WILL want to roll the new races when they re-roll new characters of course. Wait for the population of blood elves to die down when people cbf to level their toons to 60 and furthermore 70. They'll probably be so attached to their main halfway through levelling their lil Blood elf, they'll realise something odd, their main toon thats filled up with tier3 epix and shiet. So if i were you, give it time. maybe about a month after release, the blood elf population might die down.

not that we really want to play as BE, but well, since i got a 60 Alliance already, it would be nice to try and level up a Horde character. Besides, it would be cool if we can join a Oceanic server with more Alliance instead of Horde.

Lets hope you dont get bored during the horde levelling process. Many main chars have rerolled toons on a different faction of a different server. They've ended up going back to their mains.

i know what you mean, but if we are going to start on a new server, a brand new server, then i don' think there's an incentive to go back to my main for the time being. Besides, my main now is guildless now that my guild on Kil'Jaedan has moved to Jubei'thos and I don't think i'm going to splash that much money just to move a character.

mmm Blood Elf Hunter...

I'm on Dark Iron now with a 60 Druid an 14 Hunter (Horde)... Won't mind leveling another character once TBC gets out smile.gif

But I've had much experience with guild that are social-half-hardcore... they break apart, especially if the leader hasn't the time to commit.

So now I only look for hardcore guilds... I attend raids as best I can, and put out word in advance if I can't.

To play an MMORPG like WoW, either you're a casual guild, or hardcore guild. Try to walk the fine middle line and you'll find yourself faltering...

Just my 2 cents.

Yeh i know whatcha mean, but it's all gonna change with TBC. Main thing is gonna be because of the 25-man raids. Casual players will still be able to get dungeon epix.
