The default setting is 3 mins, cannot be changed.
I don't remove my cams when parking my car - unless I intend to park for a few days in an open car park (more worried about heat in the parked car). Plugging on/off the power supply to my blackvue damages the power plug connection.

ahhahaha alright

about the sun.... cant say about the models which have the stuck on holder, but those with the sucker.... well after a while it becomes abit loose, i suspect heat might exaggerate this flaw. (better would be to tukar to a better holder in the 1st place

Is it possible to mod the sucker to use 3M tape? Tear away the sucker, file/grind away protruding section, fill gap with epoxy, stick the 3M tape.

well i just shoved tissue over the sucker, under the plastic bit surrounding it, seems firm enough for now.

Have both black n first edition, and I think black edition with 130 angle seems fine.
I think black edition is really value for money.

counter point.... have both....
Fyi,
1)the 165 deg model kinda records my pillars as well while the 130 is just nice, maybe just a few degrees out of frame.
2)wider angle also means you are loosing out on the detail (a tiny tiny tiny bit less clear) compared to the cheaper model.
3)more expensive (wide angle) model on paper supports a higher res BUT its upscaled if im not wrong.... so... technically its max resolution is the same.
4)wide angle model is abit.... conspicuous, it really is... black ia a better color lol
5)adas is useless!!!!!!!! just annoying!

A comparison between my Yi (165°) vs generic A118 (supposedly 170°). Left image is Yi cam, which is noticeably wider than A118. I don't know how the 130° Power edition will fare, but I'll go for the widest angel possible to avoid buyer's remorse.
Attached Image

Edit:
1. Ignore the bike on the left. Just focus on the signboard to see the angle. More surrounding details is always a welcome to me.
2. I only set at 1920*1080p 60fps. I don't need the upscaled video. Now I'm trying out 30fps to see any difference. My instinct tells me lower fps should be easier for the camera to capture details due to possibly hardware limitation. And it doesn't hurt to have 100MB smaller files per video clip.

I think maybe my windscreen dirty also lar, compare to other who post in youtube which is very clear can see car plate.

use 1080p 30fps good enough, the colors and quality on the 60fps is worse.

video quality on this cam 1080p 30fps>1296p 30fps>1080p 60fps, that's my observation.

=( my power edition got two mode only, 1080 and 720 is big difference there
