got myself 1 unit of Power Edition but havent install yet.
the packing stated need to use micro-sd with minimum 16gb 80mb/s, is it a must?
is the ADAS support important for DVR?
what if without this feature?

juz avoid sandisk card then should be safe.

ADAS and alike added features actually are for manufacturer marketing competition advantage rather than necessary functions, as reviews from mainland itself also indicated some users would like to turn off that annoying ADAS. on the other hand, the papago's firmware that comes with "headlight turn on reminder beep beep alarm" - many forgot to turn on headlight at night time.., "green light on pls go beep beep alarm..." always many car kena hon while at waiting traffic light seems like driver is dreaming or playing phone... "risk of fall asleep beep beep alarm" i would say it more practical ...

after all, juz remember car dashcam's serve ultimate purpose for recording road incidents, the other features juz bonus and optional.

For my grey edition, I use Sandisk Ultra 48MBps card. No complain from the camera so far since yesterday. Not sure how long this Sandisk will last.
From what I read, 80MBps vs 48MBps is just the read speed. The write speed for both is slightly less than 20MBps, as tested by one website using Samsung Evo and Samsung Evo + micro SD cards.

I don't use ADAS because I mount it at the back. From reviews, ADAS is useful only when travelling on NSHW. In cars with built-in lane-departure warning, the system will know you are not dozing off when you change lane after switching on your turn indicator. Whereas in Yi camera, no such feature to distinguish intentional lane switching. Hence, you can imagine how busy the ADAS will be.

I got 2 Sandisk Ultra that failed on me when I use them in dashcam... I lost a 32GB and a 64GB... Totally lost confidence on Sandisk and switched to using Samsung Evo, Evo+ and Netac U3...

The Sandisk should still work, but maybe just require more frequent formatting to keep it going.

For my ancient Blackvue DR400 which is well known to suffer from heat issue, the Samsung Evo 32GB that I am using has been performing well for a long time ady - maybe a few years. I have not reformatted it for a long time too (this ancient camera does not have WiFi and ability to format card by pressing a button on the camera) and so far there is no problem with "please check SD card" messages and it is still recording fine. I know it is recording fine because once in a while I d/l the clips to confirm the cam/card are still working fine.

In comparison, a few other cards I used (I think they were Sandisk) gave me problems after short interval, the most common being "please check SD card".

Why my xiaomi yi car dashcam keep recording video in 10 seconds format??
I don't see any setting for full recording.

Is this normal?

Strange. There is no option to set video length and the default is 3 minutes. What I can guess is the power cable connection loose, or SD card issue.
