My xiaoyi dashcam stuck at logo screen after I updated the firmware, I tried several methods including reset button, format SD Card and insert a bin file, etc. not working at all.
Anyone experience the same? |

QUOTE(mk92 @ Jan 10 2017, 11:04 PM) what car u drive?I just hardwired mine, ez. just need buy 2 items (other than dash cam) get one of this http://www.lazada.com.my/new-dual-double-2...er-8614707.html Check ur car fuse type (mine was ATO) so i got this. (got spare 4 with me now) there are mini ATO and others http://www.lazada.com.my/4pcs-ato-atc-car-...l-10552350.html get a nice thick wire (those old extension cord will do) so nothing gets burnt -why thick wire as u will be making a strong loop that will not be affected by the torque of the nut and vibration. I added a steel washer with the wire loop to make things snug then open ur right passenger side and wire it up. (look for ur cigarette port fuse, usually on the panel u took off, they are good for 0 drain after engine off) the dc converter just double side tape into the sidewall. Now i got a spare 5A charging port for my passenger and a hardwired dash port. ** if too lazy, behind balai polis ss2 got accessory shop/ any accessory shop will do it. but, they will usually charge RM50-60 ringgit per item wired. and will usually use shitty hardware (12v cigerate port converter) This post has been edited by springfall: Jan 10 2017, 11:26 PM |

QUOTE(jesserider223 @ Jan 11 2017, 01:45 PM) well.. I did not take a video i'm too old to juggle a camera and wire shit, not to mention concentrating on not sparking anything. I did it on a s keras and there was none on youtube on this, had to read a german fuse diagram, and trial and error but there are heaps of other videos on how to on other cars. if truly want, I will need to take time to compile in pictures on how mine was wired. *not like it will help much as jap cars are much friendly to hard wire compared to what i did with mine. mine got too many insulation inside to locate a bolt to tap. |

QUOTE(jesserider223 @ Jan 11 2017, 04:46 PM) oh you did it on your S-class.... also did mine up 2 weeks back... no real pics for you cause i screwed up with the pics.... all blur as heck.admire your dedication to DIY on your car I really appreciate it if you share some pictures here later I understand the car is vastly different compared to other manufacturers but mainly the pictures can be used as a guide, perhaps it'll give us a head start, know where to begin and the tools required, also how it looks after the work's done. anyways, feel free to share it anytime... very similar setup as springfall just a diferent 12v to 5v converter. 1)prepare your materials, preparation is key -find out what fuses your car uses (you need to know what fuses you use so that you buy the right fuse tap) after figuring that out, buy the right piece. -find out where the fuses are located so you can work on the car later (preparation is key... dont wana dismantle the right side then find that the fuse box is on the left) -get the adapter (get one like springfall which comes with the female ends of the usb cabling or like me, get a unit with the cable hooking directly up to the dash cam. 2)solder and run the cables in first (easier to solder everything up together with everything out of the car -solder the positive end of the adapter/converter to the fuse tap (leave the negative end untouched, this would be the grounds to the car) -run the cables through wherever you want. strongly suggest you run them through the headliner, down behind the pillars and through the dash... cleaner that way (remove trim that needs to be removed in order to remove the pillar, then starting from the top so that you end up with enough freeplay on top, run the cable down the bare piller tape it down or wrap it with the other cables, if its loose, it might rattle* then run through dash) 3) the fuse tap itself is peanuts, its acting as the positive line for the dash cam -just install the fuse tap in the interior 12v can bus fuse socket (refer to your owner's manual/fuse box diagram for which one, of just use a voltmeter and probe around to find which has power with the key turned to on) (at this point positive line is hooked up) 4) the negative lead is just bolted on to any bolt on the car (even the fusebox bolt works) 5)test BEFORE reinstalling everything!! *edit.... should also suggest you get 1a output rather than 3a.... but its really not an issue. I did this.. cuz many merc cars fuse box on right side, and mine was left so I chose female usb cuz in future can get micro/macro usb/ usb c for phone etc things to take note, 1)fuse can be plugged in the wrong side, so do plug in the correct side (i will power on on wrong side but will burn if blown) 2) if no solder, just cut wire longer and both wires tie dead knot on each other, and it will be damm strong. after just tape with electrical tape and then use those paper masking tape so the electrical dun slip off when hot. other than that yeah very same in methods. fuse, i just used 20A, |

QUOTE(xperiaVuser @ Jan 11 2017, 06:59 PM) which firmware are you trying to upgrade? what is your current one? are you using the new black version of the dashcam? I forgot which version already. Just updated via the phone then the dashcam die. Not the black version. Mine is in gold colour. The old version. |
