i5 -6402p
8gb ddr4
mainboard z170
dvd rw
ati r7 390
ssd 120gb
1tb hdd
casing atx
power supply 600w
20'8 lcd
windows 7

this rig is rm3410, is it worth it for gaming?
budget is 4k with monitor.
*
Swap the i5 6402P with 6500, no point getting the P version of i5 since the iGPU is much weaker than the normal i5 (530 vs 510).

Which Z170 mobo and 600W PSU? Please be specific a bit, not all 600W PSU's are created equally, some of them aren't even advertising their real power.

And there is no R7 390 also.

Just realised adapters or new cable are not cheap.

Should I just get Zotac GTX 750 Ti 2GB, with HDMI output but lower spec than Palid Storm OC ? Price lower.

Since mobo is still having response, I suspect it is PSU problem, your current CPU is still very strong and capable to run latest games without any issue, I would suggest you to bring your rig to a PC shop and borrow a PSU from the shopkeeper to test first, if the culprit is really PSU then just get a new PSU.

Not recommended to buy any new current gen GPU now because Pascal/Polaris (new next gen GPU from Nvidia and AMD) are coming soon in next couple of months.

Thanks rclxms.gif . After check at Ideal Tech, it seems that my PSU has no more power in it. I just bought Super Flower Leadex Gold 650W.

Is it sufficient to power up gtx980 or gtx980ti since i'm overclocking my CPU a bit for 24/7 usage. Im afraid my old rig will bottleneck it.

I see 'E-tech' being mentioned a lot here, so I checked out the prices at their online store and found them to be mostly cheaper than anywhere else thumbup.gif .. to those who are familiar with them, do they give any discount if you buy a complete rig (like what the stores at lowyat do biggrin.gif )?

If you have extra cash
Definitely get an SSD, 250GB version preferably, but 120gb will do to shave money and change to the below hardware suggested below instead.
If you swap to a Seasonic S12II semi modular PSU, its essentially the same PSU (semi vs full mod cables) and save another RM60

GTX 960? you exclusively play high fps games on your PC?
what about reading, watching movies, rendering stuff? these does not need fast refresh rate monitor, but a good viewing monitor.
why get a cheap TN monitor? suggest get a VA panel instead, VA has the best contrast, much better colour and view angles, similar to IPS panel.

BENQ 24'''' GL2460 RM 463.22
http://www.lelong.com.my/benq-24-gl2460-le...6-06-Sale-P.htm
TN panel 2ms gtg

Suggest you buy BenQ GW2470H RM529.00
http://www.lelong.com.my/benq-24-va-fhd-le...7-01-Sale-P.htm
VA panel 4ms gtg

i personally got a BenQ EW2440L similar to GW2470H.
http://www.lazada.com.my/benq-ew2440zh-238...ck-8888865.html
Got it fro RM525 with free delivery on special 11.11 last year, its constantly on sale a lazada, eg 2 months ago lazada bday etc...
the new version EW2440ZH has better panel so i am told

cm devastator II RM185
is a fake mechanical keyboard
Cooler Master Exclusive New Switch "Mem-chanical" keyboard lol
its better then your normal MK200 Logitech keyboard mouse RM63, still not worth its asking price unless you really like the looks.

If you got cash just buy a proper Logitech mouse
I personally use G300s, love all the customize programmable buttons, and love the small size (finger grip style)
RM84 - cheap
http://www.lelong.com.my/logitech-gaming-m...6-05-Sale-P.htm

Get a proper keyboard this one should last you years of use.
cheapest legendary Cherry MX switch mechanical keyboard you can find
RM235
http://www.lelong.com.my/cherry-mx-board-2...7-01-Sale-I.htm
suggest you get the brown switches
unless you like blue switches (best typing feel but very noisy)
or the gamer favorite red/black switch (its a linear switch, no tactile feel, no click feedback)

you can fit all the above in your RM560 budget (assume you switch PSU)
you may even fit a 250gb SSD in, I personnaly will get the Ultra II max instead of the plus max
120GB ssd goes for around RM200 hence I rather topup RM100 and double the size, faster transfer rates too.

blue switches are the best to type the feel is amazing in my opinion, but they are very very loud hi pitch click sound and i find that very annoying., just you tube it. if you can handle the sound go for blue, unless you are a gamer go for red.
brown are somewhere in between blue and red.
blue or red being the most popular out there.

errr. an Egpu rig. not just gpu.
*
eGPU requires external power supply and PE4C adapter.

PE4C isn't easy to find in local shop, you may need to search for it yourself.

Most likely you are able to get GTX950 (RM 700) + FSP Hexa+ 400W (RM 150) + PE4C adapter (price unknown) within your budget.

Top up a bit for ASRock Z97 Anniversary (RM 419 from ETech), otherwise you can only get mATX (B85) below RM 400.
