Hey guys my budget is RM750 and i will be using it mainly to play latest game on 1080p like The Witcher 3.
I already bought Core i5-4690k and Sapphire R9 380.

Also if you can recommend me a good monitor with at least 21 inch and above for the price of below 500 I will be very grateful.
*
So RM 750 for the rest of the parts (excluding CPU & GPU)? Is monitor included in this budget, or you have allocated RM 500 for it?

750 is for other parts and another 500 is for the monitor only. Also can u give me the possible parts that support oc-ing. I can add another few hundred if I had to.

RM 750 budget is not enough to get a Z87/Z97 for oc (and other parts), unless you go for H81/B85 "non-official" oc.

If you are still on your oc plan, you will need a Z87/Z97 mobo + 8GB RAM + 1TB SSD + a capable PSU + case, the estimated cost is more than 1k.

It is still possible to get it under 1k right if I use HDD ? Since 1tb ssd price is absurd. Can you just give me the recommendation even if its still above 1k ?

Is the stock cooler enough to handle the heat when I oc? Can you recommend a good budget cooler for later add-on when I got extra money. Also is it true that 4GB x 2 is better than the 8GB alone for the memory?

Mild overclock is fine but due to hot weather, stock cooler might not make it, overclock doesn't bring a lot of performance improvement in gaming though FYI.

You can look for something like CM Hyper 212X/EVO.

Dual channel is slightly faster but not noticeable in real life usage, single stick is cheaper too, so just get 1 x 8GB.

If that's so, im thinking of maybe add case fan only. Any recommendation ? Since Bitfenix Nova only got 1 stock fan and I dont think that would be enough. Anyhow thanks for your recommendation. Its pretty dope man.

Switch to Tecware Alpha then, add around RM 60, it comes with 2 front casing fans (intake) and 1 rear casing fan (exhaust).

It is a bit slow for photo and video editing, if you are patient enough then it should be fine, if not then you have to top up your budget to get better parts to cope with your requirements.

Get a better CPU (i3/i5) and upgrade the RAM to at least 8GB, GPU can be added later (if you don't have enough funds now) if the software you use is able to utilize GPU power to fasten up the operation.

This build is still far away from i5, i5 will cost nearly 80%+ of your initial budget.

Hi all. Last 2 days my pc suddenly turn off when I playing The Division and can't turn it on back again. Not sure what happen to it. But there is still yellow light on the motherboard whenever I turn on the power supply. Not sure is it normal if there is electric sound coming out when Í'm moving my PSU adapter at the back of the PC. I'm planning to repair and upgrading my pc and I don't know where to start because I don't know which hardware is faulty. Any tips on detecting which hardware is faulty and which part to upgrade? My PC spec are as my signature.

[Budget] RM3k -RM4k

[Purpose] Gaming(usually First and Third person shooter, current game - the division, just finish playing fallout 4), Downloading, Torrenting, Leaving the PC turn on for 1-2 days because of torrent. Surfing, Movie

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speaker, Headphone, Casing, SSD, HDD, CPU cooler(I believe all of this still working well)

[Monitor resolution] 1920x1080

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Currently The division, FPS, TPS, RPG, Action RPG, Torrent, Microsoft Office, Media Player for movie

[Personal preferences] CPU, Motherboard, Graphic Card, RAM, PSU. As long as I can have a better experience in using my pc. Not interested in SLI/Crossfire and Overclocking. As long as the stock speed is good, it's enough.

[Location] Maybe going Ideal Tech or Viewnet in lowyat plaza
