aego m is in the same price bracket at Edifier S530D. Comparison with C3 would be unfair.

Well can't really disagree with you. Aego M just sounded very coherent musically and there's just something breathtaking about realising the sound coming from the 2 small sats...

Anyway, did a brief audition of the c3 over at lyp. Had mixed impressions. The m3300 sounded clearer than the c3 at times. Nevertheless do like the overall design of the c3. btw can the c3 be used to hook up to the tv?

I upgraded from m3300 to Aego M. People have been saying how upgrading from other speakers to Aego M blew them away with the extra clarity and noticing musical instruments that they didn't notice before. For me the difference between m3300 to aego M is although noticeable but not as a big impact as others would describe. That either shows how good m3300 is or how sh*tty other speaker is compared to the clarity of m3300.

Although AegoM is superior than most MM speaker out there in terms of clarity, I dont really rate it very high. After all it still sound thin like all MM speaker with 3" or less sattelite drivers. If you really want a decend sounding speaker, look for a set of 2.0 speaker like R3 or S2000.

All of you need to keep in mind that one's man meat is another's poison. Different individual have different taste in terms of listening to music. Some may even like boominess. It's pointless arguing which is better as long as you yourself felt the speaker you bought meets your expectations.

@Killdavid
My previous Altec speaker was VS4121. Overall it's a normal speaker for me and may be a nice speaker generally others on movies and gaming. The mid down-firing is really an annoyance to me as vocals are too soft or missing. Other music may be fine but not on music or songs that focuses on the mids.

Overall i'm satisfied with C3. The bass is definitely much better compared to my previous speaker. It's more solid and heavier compared to boominess. The mids and highs are definitely a win over 4121. Nuff' said.

Just bought a new edifier speaker to replace my fav R401.
After auditioning a couple of system (<200 range) I settled with e3100..
yeah its old model but,this is the speaker that cought me and impress me.
Of coz C3 is nicer..and I nearly bought it!..If not for my little concise mind stopping me from spending more.

For now the e3100 is in burning stage with pink and white noise.
After it doen.Will couple it with belden rca cable and canare cable for satellite.

A very good job for Edifier for their good and well built speaker system.

Winamp?! Hmm it's already been ages i haven't been using that software. I'm using only the player that came with my soundcard as some of the features can only be activated by my soundcard included applications sad.gif

Anyway for me C3's bass is already powerful enough tongue.gif
