haha nvm got one guy comparing mx5021 and 530d for weeks and he even came almost daily but i'm not that sure whether he pulled the trigger or not akakaka..

which guy served u? how are u liking ur newly acquired toy brows.gif

just a young malay sri comp staff serve me, since he's the only one i can find there by that time... smile.gif

well, eventhough the speaker is under burn in process, its performance is way better than my S2.1M...the amount of details produce by the S530D is better than S2.1M...and it's not bad in movie also...gaming wise, havent got the time to try yet... biggrin.gif

but is there a function so call 'volume boost' on this S530D? cos i saw it written on the HWM magazine there but i cant seens to find this function on the controller... smile.gif

Never been to Digital Mall so not really sure and can't comment it. Best if you could just compare prices like i usually do.

It seems that i'm having this 'paper sound' even on music or songs with bitrate of 320kbps. Is the unit faulty?! Anyone with C3 having this problem? Mr. Edifier please help  sweat.gif

Try play with original CD. Pirate CD quality not good will cause alot of problem.

btw whats the differences with M & E series?
*
For your budget, u may consider m2300, m3400, m3300 and C2of coz u can look at the E3100, E3300 and E3350...apart from the E3100, E series speakers are more toward to life style design speaker.

Ok i've read thru half of this thread, looks like the recommendations goes to E3100 & M3300 . MM i'm keeping my options open ( & to increase my budget) to 5.1. How is the R501? What's the diff with MKII thingy? how does the R501 compares to C3 in 2.1 mode, or a totally different lower league? pardon my stupidity.

its in selayang and the guy said he's not sure coz it's out of stock but he did say it was rm180+. A bit of bargaining could have lowered the price I suspect.

since you mentioned AllIT then I think I might go to digital mall and buy it there, since lowyat plaza is such a pain to get to in a car with all the traffic.

decided to get the e3100. now I'm hearing static when I turn the volume up (when I'm not playing anything). I checked the cables and they are all fine... why is this?

Just to update everyone. My warrantied speaker have lesser noise/distortion now compared to my first newly bought C3. However, when playing musical instrument especially piano musical score the 'paper sound' is still there on high notes when the volume is moderately high. Overall i'm very much satisfied with my C3. My experience in listening to music, playing games and watching movie is definitely MUCH MUCH better compared to my previous AL4121 smile.gif. Only cons may be the satts not able to handle higher volume and hence causing noticeable 'paper' sound effect on certain tone or frequency.

R501 is the old model.
R501MK2 is the newer ver.,, which include tweeter in its satellites...

well, generally, R501 is an old product, and C3 is new one,
so i do suggest get a C3. unless you're into gaming and movie.

5.1 have general advantage, which is the "surround" effect which is useful in gaming and also movies.

hence, generally it depends on your needs,, music or movies come 1st??

Cheers, no need to shame one., neither man is perfect. biggrin.gif

Sure no problem. I'll be happy if you can test it out too whether if it's my Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic the source of the problem or the source mp3 file itself. I'll pm you my msn and hence i could send you the file and verify it when we both online smile.gif. You can hear the paper effect sound quite clearly when you play solo musical instrument such as the piano when on moderately high volume. If your ear is sharp enough you'll hear the 'bzzzt' sound effect on every piano note being played.
