for the price of it, i do believe it wins aego in some terms..but hey i'm an edifier kaki, my comments on edifier are totally one-sided as I would just continue on hyping over it tongue.gif

so find some guru to compare the "hi-fi" sound of aego with this new guy in town and prove me wrong ahahaha laugh.gif

my experience of using the C2 paired with Audigy 2 ZS: the sound is flickering if i enable the Winamp's EQ..it sounded like the treble part is hissing highly..
but if its disabled, its working great smile.gif

Is there a specific layout to place the subwoofer ?
The C3 subwoofer has a hole on the right side...so we cannot cover that, right ?

unlike satelites, sub actually can be placed anywhere as low frequencies sounds travel in all direction.so,in order for the bass not to be too over-powering and cover off the mids and highs from the satelites, its recommended to place it in a corner of the room.if the room is big,the sub will be under-powered,so adjust the position according to your needs.this is where C3 comes in,with the Ext. amp,you got more control over the sub placement.if you are using with your PC,under the comp table will be just fine

this is what i remember for reading around.might not be 100% accurate.

The most ideal position for subwoofer would be at the corner of a room.

No you shouldn't. For my M3300, the bass actually sound tight and punchy facing the 'hole' or rather the hyperbodial port. When facing the woofer grille, the bass is muddy.

Hi guys. I auditioned C3 today and i think in terms of sound quality it definitely sound nice to my ears. In comparing to S2.1M, i think the bass of S2.1M sub is definitely more solid and powerful, in my opinion of course smile.gif. But the C3 sats are more powerful and seems to sound sharper to me comparing to S2.1M.

And lastly i auditioned S530D. I love the sats very much and the bass is very solid and much powerful than C3. The only thing that defrain me from buying S530D is that the sub is very huge and long. The sub is definitely very solid and having a very big heat sink behind. If i have a bigger room, i may seriously consider buying S530D.

I think i shall be getting C3 myself as it's just nice. I may try increasing C3's bass via my X-Fi THX bass boost console. Not sure if i could increase the solidness of the bass.

All in all above statements are based on my personal hearing experience. Kindly note that sound and music are subjective and may differs from individual. Hence, it would be pointless for me to retaliate to flamers which i saw many here which claim themselves the grandfather of audiophile whistling.gif

To those who are interested in S530D, the lowest price i was being offered while shop in lowyat today is RM700.

Upgrading from AL VS4121 to Edifier ? I also tested the S530D. In terms of music, it still lose to Aego M. But for movies and games, S530 is better because the woofer more powerful. So as all rounder S530D is better with equal price range.

for mine, under a table isnt very good,
beside cpu tower is great as long as your ear is near to the front side (port).
on the corner of the room., however, will produce better sounds, especially when
the sub is about 1m+ away from your ear imo.

For me I put the M3300 sub on top of the table with the hole facing me so the bass is punchy.
