The hygain 10m-80m vertical I bought from someone here recently still very good if it dont rain. Once rain the coil would go gila with water heheh. TX full power 100w the antenna becomes a kettle. Boleh masak air.

Ya, a dipole .. but nothing beats beam antenna .. So, how many radials do you have for the vertical antenna you've there? Looking at the net, ugh.. not that easy to operate that antenna .. good for portable setup but not permanent one.

Yupp beam yagi have good ears and removes alot of unwanted noise from the sides and rear. Definately a good thing except the width might get the neighbours cursing. I bought both those antenna here, one the portable MFJ yet to try out. Sitting at home, the other hygain 17ft verticle I planted it down 2 ft above ground behind the house with a 20ft copper rod hammered down for grounding. 6 Radials fans out and it is very good. Currently with the coil removed and fully tuned to 20m @ swr 1.1, I can hear as far as ukriane with a bit of noise with all the DSP dailed in. Nak nego with neighbour to hook up beam antenna on roof later.
