Expectation is made by others.....mall business is long run and need huge capital injection... Since the mall is runned by Pavilion with investment from Qatar government investment arm... So the success rate is higher... If the mall managed by ah kao ah mao developer or management company... I dun think their projects can be sold out 99%

Yes now is neither here nor there. When the SJCC completed it will be integrated. But lot 15 is still detached from the rest of sjcc

And our good fren here said dun pantang.....
How to unseen the gigantic structure everytime you reach and leave home???? And its not even look like Centre Pompidou at paris. Hell far from it.

My speculation info on pavilion bj

Before they acquired and launched pdh, what pavilion has is their brand name Pavilion. Obviously they cant let this premium goes to waste for nothing. Hence they launched pav mt kiara and pav bj with a mall that can match pav bb in size.


Somewhere along the line, perhaps he got advised by consultant that pav cant be simply use in any malls. They must protect the brand name as high end and luxury mall only.

They tried to off load the mall to other parties amd with hope that the new owner will use different name but they are unsuccessful.

In the meantime they launched pdh with mall element. So what they want to call the mall in order to sell the luxury apartments offices at a very wealthy and rich neigbourhood????

Pavilion dsara height.

And they still promote pdh mall as the SECOND LUXURY MALL outside BB.

Dun get me wrong. Bj is not a ghetto but in no where it can match the influences of dsara height and bangsar. By naming pbj as it is, it looks like a smash on the face of pdh buyers where they literally paid 1000psf EXTRA for an apartment in dh than in bj with smaller mall.

well... the lower expectation the lesser disappointment would be and higher bonus surprise too... so lets patiently wait for the success of this mall... after all... another good mall come out in this part of the KV wont do any harm... but whether it worth the price that the condo surrounding the mall paid is another matter already...

Indah parade reflects consumers demand in the vicinity. Da men at usj showed pavilion management alone couldn't guarantee the mall will be successful.

Qatar investment won't involve in management, invested more like reit.

Like many residence projects at that time, sold out regardless.

Shopping mall survive on consumers spending; unless there is a drastic increase in next few years, what game changer factor?

Pavilion could arms twist their tenants to open at bj and dh. However, will there be enough traffic or consumption without diluting bb?
