hi im new in this topic, currently using corsair 650d casing and wish to buy 2 fan for exhaust from top casing, should i buy noctua fan?
*
Looks like the case can put Dual 140mm/120mm fans...

So pick yer choice of which fan you choose.

140mm would be better with higher air flow and less noise.

Noctua NF-P14 , but their a bit pricey.

If you don't mind,Xigmatek XLF F140 fans does its job well too on radiators.
Its cheaper and offers 63 CFM of airflow under 16 dBa.

You need to find the 4-pin header to 4-pin molex converter...

Can just plug the 4 pin to the 3 pin fan on the motherboard.
It will work too.

Which fan can suit my Thermaltake v3 black edition?

- Front (intake):
120 x 120 x 25 mm (optional)

- Rear (exhaust):
120 x 120 x 25 mm TurboFan (1300 rpm, 17 dBA, 50.0 CFM)

- Top (exhaust):
120 x 120 x 25 mm (optional)

- Bottom (intake):
120 x 120 x 25 mm (optional)

so which fan is the best for my casing?

Since it's like not suitable for you,why not go for the normal (3-pin) one??
Then purchase the 3 pin to molex wire separately.

Added on December 21, 2011, 12:46 pmGuys, I'm thinking of replacing my dual XLF1454 (140mm blue-fin-White LED) with another quieter option (full speed from molex) if possible with LED lightings... any recommendations??

Not much to find if your searching for white coloured LED , Bit Fenix Spectre BFF-BLF-14025W-RP , 60CFM under 18DBa (dunno if true)

If you want silent operation , Noctua NF-F14-FLX is perfect , but a bit pricey though...

Highest CFM? no noise limit?
buy this, http://www.itocp.com/htmls/19/n-3219-4.html
Nidec Beta V, you will become deaf for a while after you power up your pc with that fan installed, and after that noise shouldnt be a problem sweat.gif

If your casing can install 2 140mm fan on top as exhaust then you probably dont need high CFM fan.

A couple 1600 or 2000 RPM 120x25mm fan is enough, 60CFM to 90CFM, any higher you will need 140mm fan else the noise would be a problem since smaller fan always produce more fan noise than large fan.

cm 90cfm is fake one, especially the CFM rating lol, there are alot of better fans out there, Scythe and Arctic, for example.
Buy a better casing, CM690 aint bad too, if you want to keep your pc cool and quite.
buy 2 cheap 140cm fan as top exhaust guarantee will improve the casing ventilation. bottom and side panel as intake.

Gentle Typhoon, Noctua, F12, Blade master, these are the best fans for the money. Sorted by both performance and price
