QUOTE(menexpert @ May 7 2011, 11:49 PM) i see, looking for the cheapest way. does the filter will affect the air flow? you could try women's pantyhose if you want something cheap+DIY obviously any filter will affect the airflow but if it's for the bottom case, I wouldn't worry much. at least its better than no airflow at all (no fans)

CoolerMaster XtraFlo 120mm (93.74 CFM) is this fan good? good for intake? good for heatsink? Added on May 9, 2011, 3:43 pmQUOTE(FiragaZ @ Apr 21 2011, 06:54 PM) Hi, i just upgrade my cm hyper 212+ plus fans recently to dual Arctic Cooling F12 PWM fans for push pull config, and extra 2 fans for my case, im also apply new arctic cooling mx-4 at the same time, but not much improvement for my rig temp. B4 my cm hyper 212+ single blademaster is around 90c while oc, but after add those fans the temp still same around 90c, is there anything wrong? My case is front 2x120mm intake, bottom 1x120mm intake, top 1x170mm exhaust, rear 1x120mm rear exhaust, total 5 case fans. wa add 2 f12 +2 extra fans +mx4 but no temp changes? why ur temp 90c so high? running stress test? Many people don't understand what PWM is all about PWM means it only spins fast when the temp is high. That's the reason standard F12's are better because it's always running at full speed (it's also silent) so you don't have to wait for the whole thing to heat up before running at full speed.

hi, if i stack my case fan connector like this fine? Added on May 13, 2011, 10:10 pmQUOTE(1024kbps @ Apr 9 2011, 12:45 AM) Use splitter or fan controller. This one is splitter or Y-adapter. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ind...oducts_id=28414OR directly connect to PSU: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ind...products_id=603cant control the fan if use this, unless you mod the splitter. This splinter/adapter is extremely hard to find, i walked alot of outlet at lowyat, cant find 1, them said have to self modify maybe. This post has been edited by FiragaZ: May 13 2011, 10:10 PM

Go to the cable section below and ask the seller whether the Y splitter cable got stock or not. or you can ask this seller to custom made one for you. might be a bit expensive though. custom cablesoh almost forgot see here also. They got several shops around klang valley. go to garage sales and find a dude by the name of ngbh. btw is there any difference between Y cable 3pin to 2 pin & 3 pin and Y cable 3 pin to 3pin? If you see NZXT Y cable, all got 3 pins but the one above got two 3 pins and one 2 pin. This post has been edited by Oyaji: May 14 2011, 07:10 AM

hi, any comment about this fan? http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6684, i cant find much review about this cooler master xtraflo fan, might wanna replace this fan for my cooler, the air flow is extremely high, of course the noise will high a bit, but my blade master 120 full speed noise is still acceptable for me.

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ May 14 2011, 11:29 AM) isnt pwm fans were made for bios temp control on mobo's?? PWM controlling may be more precise, although we still can use normal 3 pins fan, and mobo nowadays already support controlling the fan via PWM or Voltage. Fan that support PWM controlling is quieter because it can go down to very low RPM, eg 600rpm at idle, even high ampere fan also can do that, But controlling via voltage has limitation, the fan wont spin if the voltage provided by mobo too low at idle, or when start up the computer, eg 5V. high ampere fan will be noisy even at 5V.

Since it's PWM fan maybe you can just buy it. or you could get CM excalibur instead. This post has been edited by Oyaji: May 16 2011, 02:02 AM

Only if the fan controller support control pwm fan, or if the fan controller is rheostat-based, controlling by voltage. RPM/3pin controlling wont work, the pwm fan will spin at full speed. example of fan controller http://www.sunbeamtech.com/PRODUCTS/Rheosmart/6.htmlhttp://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=341

No worries . Using it right now . Push Pull in my hyper 212+ . The fan usually run at 1.8k rpm until my temp reach 60C thn it will start accelerate . Unless you put full speed , or else the noise is acceptable . Btw , its hav strong air flow and I like the blade design
