Ya the RM300 per referral is tempting ! For the RM900 we used part of it for a meal and the rest goes to my mom.

Today again received MBB's GIA-i interest, exactly 4% again ! However this is the 6th month, so looking forward to next mth for 4.5% interest. Even later 6% !

Find it laughable that not telling the FD amt is for people to guess my wealth.

Will u be happy with the answer that it is 500k, 1 million FD. Then is it showing off ? I have said before that it is 6 figure FD.

If I said 1 million, will u believe it ? Am I boasting ?

Someone has said I have 3 million. U believe it ? What should I say:
a. U are right
b. No, I have more than that

I think telling people that it is a high amount should be enough. Different BR branch may give better rates.

The attack coming from a hypocrite is even more laughable. Someone who did not behave in sending PM to people.

I think sharing the info of BR 4.5% is more important than telling the actual FD amount which is 6 figures. If I said just 100k, is it important ? 500k ?

Whether I am rich or not is not important. It is the info and the FD percentage we can get from BR is more important to the other forummers here.

It is difficult for me. I do not want to give false info neither want to give out the actual figure. BR wise the nego rate also depends on the branch involved.

You can always ask BR with the amount u have and see they agree. That is what is called nego ! If they said no, then a lower % ? Nego, nego.

I am also not sure if the 4.5% is the highest they can give for the 1 year.

Jalan Ong Yi How, Butterworth side ! Last Friday I called CIMB RM, she said cannot give higher than 4.3% for 12 mth FD. But I think one forummer mentioned CIMB 4.35% this week. I ended up still put the eggs in BR for 4.5%.

Penang branch. BC but even personal cheque also can.

I am concerned with the step-up of MBB. Initial months low rate. When OPR drops, they could change it based on their T n C.

Days of 4.5%/4.6% 12 mth FD from PIDM banks are gone for now. OPR to drop in 2nd half 2016 ?

I actually received 2 PM's from Prai side. Another regular forummer also said he was not able to get the rate in Prai side. Maybe he can call up or go to the Penang main branch in Magazine Road and see if he can get that rate also.
