This morning in SCB PB centre to withdraw FD. 10 minutes kaotim. Good ! Got CO for RM2.80.

Moved to BR 2 yrs 4.55% with monthly interest. No gift left, just towel. Can put in multiple entries for the 2 yrs FD promo's lucky draws. Have to send multiple SMS's (BR said is FOC).

Next week will be placing for 1 yr 4.5% with monthly interest there. Asked about gift. The officer said will ask from HQ gold coins, golf clubs etc. He said Exclusive Club of BR has exclusive gifts for members. But he has to ask from KL. Take note of this for those who are the BR Exclusive Club members !

Complained about Penang island's gift not as good as in other branches during CNY. He said will feedback to the committee.

Haha, SCB has no FD promo for months already. BR has given me a larger towel today, but already got that earlier. Boring ! So today the officer talked about gold coins, golf clubs etc

They can collect the cheques from your house, deliver FD cert back to your house. They offer to send the gold coins, golf club, gifts etc to my house also. I probably would decline that.

If you are busy, that may be good for you.

In branch. CIMB can nego to 1 yr 4.35%.

BR 1 year board rate 4.1%, current promo 1 year 4.28%. 4.5% is nego rate.

Just back from BR. Placed nego FD 12 mth at 4.5% with monthly interest. Received gift from branch as attached.

They are requesting extra gifts for BR Xclusive Club members from KL, gold coins and other stuff etc. Will call me once received. Can send to my house but thinking twice about someone sending to my place ....................................

Ya, friendly and efficient in getting FD cert ready even compared with other banks. Some more in this case, I am waiting for more gifts !

300k can becomes Xclusive Club member of BR. I am not placing much hope on the gold coin, could be "gold plated" instead. Could be the one that was given out last year during one of their FD campaigns. Anyway, these are just bonus. They said will send me the coin and other stuff from HQ.

300k for 4.5% ? Try your luck, ask the branch near your area. Who knows ?

The part I liked most is the 12 mth 4.5% with monthly interest.

4.1% is their board rate for 1 year. Current 1 year promo for BR is 4.28%.

I also placed for the 2 years 4.55% last week. I spread out my FD tenures. Tried to get past 4.5% for the 1 year FD, but was told MAX'ed out at 4.5% irrespective of amount placed.

UOB FD interest paid out only at maturity.

I only promote BR when their rates are good or when they gave me good nego rates of 1 year 4.5% with attractive gifts !!

I also promote OCBC PB centre with lots of leng lui, SCB PB centre for sending me FD certs instead of waiting there for hrs, CB for its service though not for FD, UOB for giving me gold plated gifts, MBB at times for upfront interest, AmBank 4.6% interest last year, CIMB for higher rates of 4.35%, Affin Bank 4.6%, RHB, HL, PBB ............... Who said just BR ??

BR's Xclusive Club do not have RM assigned to you. Only in KL have more benefits. Anyway I am in Penang. But I do not depends on RM. Most of the times kept a distance and decline invitations for some functions as well.

CIMB even when I signed in again (dropped out as they wanted to charge fees if AUM drops few years ago) for PB last year, no gold toy. Send one almost every CNY, as u said ??

Wow ! One auntie here in this forum also said she received no gift. Just passport holder, cheque book holder something like that which I received few years ago as well for CIMB PB.

Only way is for their PB centre. I would go there and all settle in one counter.

For me, UOB, HL, RHB, Affin. Affin FD placement has to go 2 counters, customer service then counter. In a way similar to UOB but for me I go to their PB centre with one counter to settle everything.

UOB 12 mth 4.5% till 31st March, tomorrow Thursday.

That will remove the psychological obstacle that some of us have on PBB's FD. Thanks for the info !

Have fund tomorrow, but UOB 4.5% ends today. Got to contact RM to see if possible to still get the rate tomorrow.

BR's 2 years 4.55% also ends today. Last week placed for it and sent out multiple SMS (multiple entries) to join the contest. So officially after today, the 4.5%/4.55% that type of rate for 1 or 2 years is OVER.

Anyone else have good news of 1 or 2 years 4.5%, please let us know here !

Did u guys see BR's advertisement below (at the bottom of this forum's post) ? Tomorrow my SCB's FD matured. If UOB, OCBC has no 4.5% FD, may still move to BR. But have to call first to get 4.5% nego rate.

Add: Saw the same advert in another forum. But looks like it is dynamic, so BR's advert may not be shown now.

Really hate to have FD matured on 1st of the month, especially big funds (to me but sub sub sui to others ). Have to call to know the latest promo:

UOB:
4 mth 4%
9 mth 4.15%
12 mth 4.3%

OCBC:
9 mth 4.15%
15 mth 4.3%
Promo, existing fund just top up 10k will do

AmBank:
3 mth 4.1% min 10k
9 mth 4.15% min 20k

HL:
3 mth 4.2% min 10k

CIMB:
12 mth 4.3%
Last week CIMB still can give 4.35% for large deposit, this mth, no more. Max 4.3% !

After considering the amt for my FD (in SCB), decided to go back to BR. Called to get nego rate of 12 mth 4.5%. Got the approval from BR HQ 15 minutes later.

So, went to SCB to withdraw FD. Last week, getting the CO in 10 mnutes. Today, still no people in the PB centre, 35 minutes !! Asked why took so long, told as relatively large, need more signature. So the time taken is related to the amt of FD !! Shxx !!

Went to BR. Lots of people there. Was greeted by the officer and jumped queue. Given one more Cross pen as I posted on Tuesday. More gifts like gold coins coming from HQ ..................
