After considering the amt for my FD (in SCB), decided to go back to BR. Called to get nego rate of 12 mth 4.5%. Got the approval from BR HQ 15 minutes later.

So, went to SCB to withdraw FD. Last week, getting the CO in 10 mnutes. Today, still no people in the PB centre, 35 minutes !! Asked why took so long, told as relatively large, need more signature.  So the time taken is related to the amt of FD !! Shxx !! 

Went to BR. Lots of people there. Was greeted by the officer and jumped queue. Given one more Cross pen as I posted on Tuesday. More gifts like gold coins coming from HQ ..................

I am in a similar situation as you unker goat. I have 3 FDs maturing in the next 1 week! Btw, do you have a RM in BR?
Your Cross pen looks much more tempting than my car sun shade / bath towel. 
Before I go BR next week will try nego rate with HQ. Call up the branch first before going right? Don't like it as need to call a general line & then patch u through to the respective branch. 

Thanks for the list. Just returned from a trip and had to browse 10+ pages of words and words. Missed my SCB maturity by several days and can only make placement on Monday. Considering between OCBC 15m 4.30% and UOB 12m 4.30%.

OCBC website states Promotional Welcome Rate as one of the so called exclusive privilege. Is this rate referring to FD rates?

If it is, what kind of additional rate I can expect?

i dropped by BR HQ the other day and the teller hinted no gifts and non negotiable rates.

For the xclusive membership, need to apply or they will automatically invite? My branch never highlight it at all.

Oh okay, that was the time when I started to reduce my FDs with them. With this cutting queue privilege, worth to top up back to 300K.

Next time you walk into BR, look out for the thick yellow & blue carpet, that is for Xclusive.

How come you guys gets all the free gifts. I never get any from them. Angpau packets got lar...during CNY. 

So far I observed at least 3 branches got that carpet.
I have just sent in my application but they asked me what rate I want so I put 4.5% then.
I am not much better, I just asked BR Uptown branch for free gifts & they only mentioned got towel & sun shade.
Will try another branch
