QUOTE(bizness @ Apr 2 2016, 01:50 PM) I'm pretty sure the signal sucks badly when ur behind a wall or far away. Till today, TP-Link does not disappoint me. Beats my Asus and D-Link router. My house very small only .1200sf. Performed speed test at various locations in my house . lowest speed test 20mbps . most of my rooms can get 30mbps at least . Speed test right in front router around 36mbps . My Asus rt-n12 no diff also

QUOTE(junclj @ Apr 2 2016, 02:00 PM) TP-link is good but does it provide built-in free DDNS IP hosting service? I don't care about the D-link cloud or Asus AiCloud. I know that they did provide the free DDNS IP hosting service for their router cloud service but my purpose is just want to obtain their free DDNS to setup my home CCTV and alarm. QUOTE(acid427 @ Apr 2 2016, 03:31 PM) This one? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Yes, but TP-link no provide free ddns, like Asus got their own ddns with "xxx.asuscomm.com". No need to register, just type in your decided nickname for example john5566.asuscomm.com, then you can enjoy your cloud service already. So anytime from outside, you can just type http://john5566.asuscomm.com to access your home router. That's we need to do this DDNS then add some settings in the port forward. So we can access our home CCTV and alarm with our phone via 3G/4G anytime. This post has been edited by junclj: Apr 2 2016, 03:48 PM

But ofc, need to register account and ur desire free domain. no-ip.com does not bind with IP. Unifi ip address does not fix, sometimes its 60.x.x.x, sometimes it 175.x.x.x, sometimes its 1.x.x.x. If I restart router, then my ip will change. I was tried no-ip.com before, at the end, I was using Asus after introduced by a CCTV technician.

The built-in ddns supposed to update hostname with new ip after router restarted. That's the purpose of using built-in ddns, because normal home user assign with dynamic ip. Works for me last time using it on tp-link router, changed to asus because wifi suddenly disfunction.

Hulu in the other hand keep buffering Been using unlocator for both service. But streaming using kodi (exodus) all smooth.

Hey guys just got a new smart TV.. Was wondering if I can turn the 4th port for the Asus router into regular Ethernet ? Because currently I think the 4th port by default is iptv..
Even after I changed router it still doesn't have Internet .. I already have 3 computers using Ethernet and the last one to connect to tv but it doesn't give Internet for the 4th port ..
My question is how do I switch the 4th port into Internet and not iptv.. Thanks
