QUOTE(NielWooWoo1205 @ Feb 23 2016, 02:22 PM) I am currently using Streamyx 1Mbps and upgrading to Unifi Adv 30Mbps soon using FTTH. Should I terminate my Streamyx? Can I keep my current landline no? Can I only subscribe to one channel and not the whole pack? Last Sunday I was just registered unifi advance 30mbps. They were setting up few pondok at my Taman area to open for unifi registration because my house area soon will launch unifi. So, I ask him can I keep my current landline tel. no and bring it to my new unifi account? He say "yes, you can." An extra charge of RM1.00 in my unifi bill. The reason why I need to keep my current landline telephone no is because my house got alarm. The alarm was bound with my home phone number. If I terminate and change to new phone no., I have to waste money to call the alarm technician to come my home to set new number again. You cannnot just subscribe to one channel only, I just choose to lowest pack with RM179. I just told the TM sales, I don't mind about the HyppTV package. I'm chinese but don't want to pick the Ruby package because that one is RM10 more expensive than Aneka & Varnam. This post has been edited by junclj: Feb 23 2016, 05:47 PM

Got question to ask here, my house will install unifi at next week. I'm quite new about this thing since I've been using streamyx for more than 10 years. My house is a terrace house. I guess TM should use FTTH for wiring. I did some research for Google and TM official website to learn how its connection works. I found that Unifi is a bit different from streamyx. Streamyx is connected directly with a DSL modem but Unifi need to connect with a device call BTU then connect to a router. Besides from TM, where can I buy that device? I can't find any Malaysia sellers got sell this device so far. However, I found it on taobao China. That device call GPON or EPON. I found this Huawei HG8240 https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=18090463679Is it suitable for Unifi too? This post has been edited by junclj: Mar 22 2016, 11:35 PM

QUOTE(tumira @ Mar 23 2016, 10:30 AM) Just upgraded to Unifi30. Tested my speed can only get 28mbps download and 10mbps upload ? Should I complaint ? Using stock router and tested the same either wifi or lan. Using google dns. Don't know why itching need to do something about missing 2mbps... Also manage to improve my ping time from 9ms to 1ms in speedtest using this free tool. http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.phpNever thought that I need one. Using windows 10 64bit. Hi, isnt your unifi is using VDSL2? The 28mbps may caused by the length of copper wire.

TIME fibre broadband 100mbps for RM149/mth, 300mbps for RM189/mth and 500mbps for RM299/mth. Yes it is worth cheaper and faster speed but this broadband is not available at Sabah and Sarawak.
I'm have no choice to choose Unifi Advance 30mbps because I am Sabahan. What can I do for now? Should I move to KL just because of that RM149/mth for 100mbps?

QUOTE(ericlawyh @ Mar 23 2016, 09:19 PM) Guys, Instead of ranting on the cheap Time Fibre subscription fee, why don't we joint force and lodge complaint to MCMC against UniFi? Step 1: Browse to Aduan SKMM Site - https://aduan.skmm.gov.myStep 2: Fill the complaint details, including your UniFi account. [attachmentid=6226372] For your ease of complaint, feel free to copy paste below Problem Description & Remedy: Step 3: Submit Lets complain altogether and give some heat to MCMC and UniFI. I will do this but now is not the time. TM was made appointment with me to install Unifi advance 30mbps at next Tuesday. I don't dare to make that complaint now since my area don't have TIME coverage. I am afraid that TM will refuse to do the installation after they received my MCMC complaint.

Used to be streamyx 8mbps and now was replaced to Unifi 30mbps. However, the download speed is just 28mbps and upload speed 10mbps. Last time I watch Astro channels with MYIPTV but very lag during peak hour, now is running smooth because my upload speed is 10mbps. That's why we need upload speed very much.

No use to complaint if TM no plan to reduce price. At least they must have to take action such like increase upload speed equal to download speed. Really suck if whole family downloading under the limited 10mbps upload speed. One or two person torrent, the other one watching IPTV. Then the rest no need to surf internet already.

Somebody please tell me what is the maintenance code for Set-top-box hypptv? I want to do factory reset already. I totally can't login my hypptv already. Keep error code 108001. Tried to reset my router many times. I am using Asus router and plugged into LAN port 4, and connected as Unifi-Home.

I was tried to modify bundle from my unifi portal, there have unifi special discount RM20 in the features and some of the useless add-ons. So I try to remove the useless hypTV Aneka Pack, then a red message mentions I should select at least 1 hypptv plan. So I just tick the cheapest HyppTV Everywhere Plan A RM5/month. Then the total amount is RM154. So I click "next" to proceed. Then a red message on that hypptv option mentions " Sorry, you are not allowed to perform this transaction. For further assistance on this transaction, please call 1300-88-1221". Godamit! TM force me to choose at least one hypptv pack. I can't save the RM30.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 1 2016, 11:02 PM) Like I always say, the faster the better. Once you have it, you can't resist. Useless to subscribe a high speed broadband since not all online sources are providing full speed download.

TP-link is good but does it provide built-in free DDNS IP hosting service? I don't care about the D-link cloud or Asus AiCloud. I know that they did provide the free DDNS IP hosting service for their router cloud service but my purpose is just want to obtain their free DDNS to setup my home CCTV and alarm.

QUOTE(acid427 @ Apr 2 2016, 03:31 PM) This one? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Yes, but TP-link no provide free ddns, like Asus got their own ddns with "xxx.asuscomm.com". No need to register, just type in your decided nickname for example john5566.asuscomm.com, then you can enjoy your cloud service already. So anytime from outside, you can just type http://john5566.asuscomm.com to access your home router. That's we need to do this DDNS then add some settings in the port forward. So we can access our home CCTV and alarm with our phone via 3G/4G anytime. This post has been edited by junclj: Apr 2 2016, 03:48 PM

QUOTE(acid427 @ Apr 2 2016, 03:47 PM) I know, myself using asus router now. But u also can use no-ip free ddns domain. But ofc, need to register account and ur desire free domain. no-ip.com does not bind with IP. Unifi ip address does not fix, sometimes its 60.x.x.x, sometimes it 175.x.x.x, sometimes its 1.x.x.x. If I restart router, then my ip will change. I was tried no-ip.com before, at the end, I was using Asus after introduced by a CCTV technician.
