Mr.Student.. What do you do for your life to get such a big shot of money rm20k+?tongue.gif
*
I tell people I save, people don't believe me. I tell people I can save rm1k/month, they don't believe me. If you never use any of your angpow money or chase new phone every year or go drinking and you can save rm1k/month, guess how much one can put aside.

Those are money which I dump into FD. In the process of transferring all into amanah saham once they are matured. And you know FD promo rates need min rm10k.

As a student with 1k saving per month then ur parents must be really rich biggrin.gif
*
Please la. If I am rich, for what I save? sweat.gif I have lots of friends who don't have any savings. They finished up all their monthly allowance. It's easy to finish your money. Eat at fancy restaurant 4-5x/month, buy H&M clothing every month. I buy pakar malam clothes only and eat mixed rice.

QUOTE(wu ming @ Mar 8 2016, 12:58 PM)
I was told by a octopus bank teller that their system is often discriminatory towards non-bumi since it would reject the request for additional units.

This might be true since I am less successful when topping up with octopus bank.
*
Not true. Teller trying to win Oscar. I always topup at cimb first. If not lucky at cimb, then I will go to Maybank.

Cannot be too save. Must treat yourself good also.

Else u can see appreciation on paper only and cannot use them.
*
Although I am still a student, but if you are able to reach my level of spending, you will see that there's nothing else you want to buy/treat yourself and you are able to resist the temptations.

Fancy food at restaurants/hotel? All turn into poop and long term wise bad for health.
Smokiing and drinking? Why would I want to put toxic into my body?
Buying branded clothes? I compare the one sold in pasar malam and the branded one. Can't tell the differences.
Buying new phone? Get Kick for short while then the phone is same. For every RM1k I save. I can earn Rm60+ from ASX FP.
Car? For what I want to pay so much for something which deprecated in value?
House? If I have the money. House is too damn expensive.
Vocation? Haven't been on one. But planning to.

So as you can see, I have nothing to spend on.
So what to do? Put it aside in amanah saham

Cheque or units, I will still get my 4 figure of payout. thumbup.gif If cheque, just extra work to "re-tambah unit" Wish it was units. Make my life easier.

Btw, just got discharged from hospital due to dengue. shakehead.gif

If Sgp students can still dig out time to learn investments, then I am really wondering why our Msian students are not able to ?

Perhaps this would be applicable for the older generation, but younger people ?? Middle-aged people ??

No financial urgency. No financial education. Live the moment. Spend now, worry about life later. "I haven't even think about the future". "Why think so much now?"

Those are the words used by my friends whenever people ask them about their plan.

is there a waiting list or something? maybe they will contact you if available and so on?

No waiting list. Got units means is yours (whether you have money or not). Based on first come first serve.

Okay,... I accept your statement above, in bold,... let's see if whatever that I invested in will give me huge losses,... or,.. the ASX will will give me more profits over the,... how long should we measure ??
*
5 years. Compare it with UT offer by FSM. That should be enough time. Heck 3 years is also enough to gauge a return of a product.

I thought u read somewhere that distribution in cheque but since ASNB has not annouced payment in cheque, it should be in units.
*
They didn't give a clear answer.

Btw, I thought payout is only after 31/3 (only on1/4 we will know whether cheque or unit)?

hi all.. can i know what are you guys talking about the cheque thingy? Also, is Amanah Saham Gemilang ok?
*
Asnb declare dividend for ASM. Only it wasn't clear dividend going to be in units or cheque. Cheque is given if no approval from SC to increase fund size. If give cheque, got extra work to do. Cheque > cash in cheque > try luck in topping up.
If units, just update book.

UT by FSM give better returns than ASG. ASG service charge 5% + 6% GST. FSM service charge max only 2% + 6% GST. That's the reason I am going to liquidate and taruh all into UT by FSM. Liquidate when confirm profit and not loss.

ok.. what is FSM?
*
Fund Super Mart is an online platform for you to buy UT. Better than going through agents which will charge you 5% service charge + 6%GST. Just think of it as Tesco. You are responsible for what you are buying (if your fund didn't perform and make a loss). All DIY.

QUOTE(gReeN sOda @ Mar 28 2016, 04:43 PM)
Yup.. Just managed to open AS1M, but only rm200 (each time rm100).. The person said need to try,.
*
Good. Now you can try topping up online. AS1M is the only fund where one can topup online.

All right bro.. thanks.. will take a look..

I thought all PNB UT can topup online.. So meaning ASM and ASW2020 cannot topup online? Must go to POS or bank or PNB?
*
ASM and ASW2020 cannot topup online. Keep in mind that each online try regardless successful or not will be charge RM1.06
