Owwhhh. I thought that is what Hansel say.... 11 % per month.
*
He manage to find something givimg 10% p.a which payout every month. Effective return should be about 11-12% (compounding)

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Mar 31 2016, 06:58 PM)
i also dont study finance. ASX ranks No 3 in my portfolio. 1 is properties, monthly rental =8.0% pa,
2 bank bonds,- fixed 7.5% paid 6 monthly.
UT should rank lower than my FDs , though on paper IRR 7% ,
cant say till you cash all out,
shares i dont recommend,
forex forget it.

i thought he meant to say, ASX not good enough,
only for people reluctant to learn investment,
want it easy, no need work etc.
You can read that.

see how much work he put into investment, research etc, to get that
10% return  paid out monthly some more!!
i think that's what he meant.

For me ASX also ok la,
bought some more today@14:58:12 to 15:07:21
*
Damn. You're very lucky. Try rm600 also tak dapat. Guess everyone have different investment strategy.

Btw, how long already your bank bonds give out 7.5%? Buy from FSM?

How do one actually calculate the returns from rental ?
*

Nope. Its maybanks. Their own bond. Constant income fund.

Hopefully unker guy can share his bond. If he have been consistent in getting 7% for 3-5 years (my benchmark), I might be interested in it while waiting for asw2020 units. laugh.gif

Mine one everyone can buy lol. 70 local market 30 foreign. Total return 7 against benchmark of 4 but we only got 5.5.
*
If rm10-20k, I still can afford. If rm50k, better I search elsewhere.

Luckily u din get into the MYR/USD game at 4.10-4.30, holding something without much interest.
*
That is still my plan for the future. Set aside only RM10k for that purpose. Principal must not exceed that amount. Worse is hold without interest until USD increases again.

Have lots of money with xxx bank. Then have good relationship with them. Buy them like KFC. Leave your book there and ask them to try luck.

7 yrs now, bought fr CIMB in 2009.
rating AA2 very safe
7.5% payment can say 'guaranteed' unless PB kaput.
It's a 50 years bank bond (PBB NIT-1), mature 2059!
min 250k
got 9k ASW, no more money.
*
What's the full name of the CIMB? Minimum fund? Can be bought via FSM?

RM250k is out of my league. laugh.gif cry.gif

Thanks again.

Better than asx  brows.gif

Exactly. 7 years returns of 7.5% is very good track record. Downside is RM250k.
